hi people you won't believe it isn't, I had a nap since 8pm till 12am... when I woke up I was very hungry cause I missed the dinner. So there is some bread beside me which I bought 2 days ago. and I was busy checking mylots update so I just use my left hand to take one piece of the bread out in the middle didn't see / check it with my eyes. cause was reading and my right hand clicking.. yum yum.. i was biting once was normal the second one. i was like.."hmmm? what kind of smell like fungus?" then i look at the bread. Oh my goodness!!! saw green fungus on the bread.......... i shouted a bit "ah!" then ran to the washroom to throw out and brush my teeth! even telling this make my hair stand........silly.. i hope it won't do anyharm.... i am secreting my saliva purposely so they kill them in the mouth... have anyone of you have such experience? please share..

I'm sure I have done something like that in the past. And that would probably be why I am obsessive about checking the bread and the use by dates on all foods now. As long as you aren't allergic to penacillin, you will be fine. It will help to kill off any infections you might have. You are right about your saliva killing off the bacteria. Human saliva is highly toxic due to the bacteria in our mouths, and can make others sick if they get too much of our saliva.

Yes, I was making sandwiches and I had just bought the bread so looking at it to see if it was bad was not even on my mind. I made the sandwiches, and one of the children came to me and said, grandma this bread is not good it has stuff on it. I looked and sure enough there was mold on my NEW loaf of bread. Now this upset me, we threw out the sandwiches and was grateful that one of the children noticed before anyone ate their sandwich.

I have had some close calls like this but luckily have not eaten any fungusy bread. I have seen Tina eat some thought. It didn't seem to hurt her. I hope that you will be okay. If you end up in hospital or die, please have someone post a note on here telling us what happened.

I don't think I've ever done that before. Probably because I inspect everything before I eat it.

Yeah, I had an experience in the past. I made a sandwich and when I looked at the top of the slices of bread it was okay so I pulled out some sliced all together without knowing that the other ones were with fungus already. When I ate my sandwich, there I noticed that it has this awful taste and smell. Thanks God it just did no harm to my tummy.

fuzzy bread - I do not think mold on bread is harmful;
I do not think molded bread will harm you. I have taken out bread to make a sandwich for my husband. The front of the bread looks okay, and then on the other side you will see signs of mold developing. My husband, just said, don't worry about it, tore the molded part off and ate the sandwich. Nothing harmful happened to him.

I've done this and never suffered side effects. I guess if we really knew what we eat we would be shocked. Rinse your mouth with hot saltwater and it should take care of every thing.

Oh no! Well I have never eaten fungus on bread before but I do hope that you do not fall ill from it. Hopefully your immune system will fight against those bugs!
