A dream come true

A dream come true. After waiting for several weeks, finally my Shetland sheepdog has arrived from UK. Saffy has arrived safe and sound. It was well worth the long wait to have her here. She is a happy cute fluffy puppy. I think she is going to have a good coat. At first she was bit afraid but as soon as I got her out of the box and cuddled her a little bit she seemed reassured. She is very friendly and even played with my son. I was surprised that it was not a problem to put her on the lead. She seems well trained. I am afraid that the photo is not very good but it is the best I could take. It would be a good excuse to buy a new digital camera.

it's wonderful that you got the new baby. I'm so pleased for you. I was worried that it might be one of those scams where they take your money and you don't get the puppy. This is a new thing going around. I didn't want to dash your hopes of getting the little one.
I won't see the picture until I post this. Being fluffy with long hair, they are always just so cute. You just want to squeeze them, lol
Yes, getting a new camera to take pictures of the new baby is a must. If you can get one you'd like one like mine. I love it. It's an a200 Sony.
Congratulations on your little one finally getting there.

Hi moondancer. I knew the breeder beforehand. I have already imported a rough collie about 12 yrs ago from the same persons. We met in real. I stayed at one week at their home and they came to my country last summer.

Congradulations on your new dog!! I hope she is very happy with your family. I'm a little confused why she was shipped to you. Is she a rare breed or do they not have dogs where you are? I've never heard of shipping a dog...LOL

She looks so precious and fluffy! I remember our shetland sheepdog being just like her, a tiny fluffball with huge black gazing eyes!
We used to have a tricolour, unfortunatly ours passed away rather young because of a grand mal (big seizure of epileptics) when she was about 3 years old. They are a very friendly and loveable breed and I am sure you will enjoy her company a lot.
Have a great evening!

I love all the three colours. I like tricolours too.. I wish I had a tricolour dog but unfortunately my breeders has only sables so I would stick to them right now.Do you have another sheltie right now?

Unfortunatly, no. Even though I am thinking I might adopt one in the future. It really depends on how many days I am going to work and how many days my partner is going to work; I can't have a dog if it has to be alone the whole day. That would be just sad. At the time being we have a cavalier king charles spaniel (I like this breed a lot too) and a cocker spaniel which is my mums.
I like the blue merles a lot too but my mom thinks they look spooky so I wasn't allowed one .

Ah she is so cute and it looks as if she will not be a problem training her and she looks like she will be very good with children.. I guess this means you had better get a new digital camera for all those pictures you are going to upload here to myLot.

Hi, it is so nice to know that you have a new dog (5 months ago). I bet the dog is a bit old now. How is she doing? Do you have updates of her?
Thanks.

She's beautiful ronald! She looks like a paler version of my Spunky. Same face, different markings. And I love her name! I hope she brings you many years of love, loyalty and just plain fun! Welcome to the lot Saffy!

i once had a labrador called 'LUCKY", but later i send him to a strange friend who loves dog and, what's more important, have time to play with him. I'll no longer raise a dog untill I have plenty of spare time and a big yard of my own.

Well worth the wait by the look of her! She's beautiful! Does she have to stay in quarantine? My friend brought her cat to Australia from the U.K. and her beloved pet had to quarantined for 12 weeks before she was allowed to go home. Congratulations on the new addition to the family anyway, enjoy her!
