How many DVDs do you own?

I haven't counted out how many dvd's I own I do have a great many YES still have the videos. I tended to into blockbuster when they would have their 3 for ten dollar special and get movies. I used to go to movies once a week or once every other week, but getting them from blockbuster the way I did, meant that I could spend less on a movie that not only I could see but so could others, then I did for going to the movies. Then like I would go to the discount sections in the various stores walmart included. Funds got much tighter in recent years so dvd collection is not as large as video is, but I did start to catalog the movies I have, and put them in list form I used excel so I could add as needed and they are in alphabetical order and I literally have hundreds of movies. First column has movie title, second has V or D for video or dvd the next column has the genre. ie Com/ comedy, Hor / horror Dis / Disney LOL I use Dis for animated films even though some are by Bluth or Bass Rankin I am a big fan of movies and always like to rewatch favorites I have gotten used to being able to grab what ever movie I am in the mood for so I got spoild, the problem is as I said the last 4 years I haven't got as many as I used to. I still have quite a few. Another tip for adding to movie collection, is ebay sometimes you can a movie for only a couple of dollars, the cheapest dvd I had gotten was 98 cents with free shipping so total cost was 98 cents for an old classic LOL I can be patient, I am not a shopaholic, nor do I need to compete I set a limit on what I am willing to bid on anything before I even open ebay up and on how many items I might consider bidding on etc so that I do not go over board and spend money I just don't have. It also means that sometimes I wait for movies released like you getting the new one Nick and Norah's but there are not that many newer movies I really want badly enough to pay a lot of money for.

I have about 1000 DVD and still growing!

My wife and I love buying DVDs. Almost every saturday we walk through town and will buy at least one. We've had to put up more shelves to house them all. We're on to Blu rays now, The debate we're buying a new movie now is whether its worth watching in Blu ray or not.

i had close to or over 200 dvd's until a former roommate decided to steal them, so now i am in the process of rebuilding my collection and i have burnt about 7 so far in the last couple of days

I own maybe 20 or so DVDs. I have bought a lot but I have kids, and they really don't know how to take care of movies. Usually wind up scratched up and won't play anymore. In my place a DVD's life span is usually a little less than a month. We do got a lot of VHS tapes lying around. I'm not one of those guys that go out to buy DVDs, anyways. I'll watch a movie only so many times. If I feel the hankering to see a movie I'll go out to the movie store and rent it.

We have a lot of DVDs! Especially that I'm not the only one who's buying! From Movies to different series and animes that me and my siblings are fond of. I haven't counted them yet either... But ever since we watched through youtube and by reading mangas online, our collection did not multiply anymore... HAHA...

This is a guess, I think I have about 25 DVDs. I still have way more VHS than DVDs and I think it will stay that way. Why? Because there are few films I want to own these days. And the ones I want come to HBO or Showtime and I can tape them.

i have about a 100 that i own and still buying more when i can afford it.iam in blockbuster club and i don,t have to go any where as well and i think i like that and i get to keep them as long as i want.

I don't own any dvds. My computer allows me to play them or burn them. I am seriously looking into canceling my cable tv with Comcast and signing up with Netflix, ordering dvds. I have all the premium channels and yet I rarely watch movies.

well i have A LOT of DVDs at my house. last time i counted them, when i was bored, was like 3 years ago, and then i remember having about 90 something... i have bought a lot of dvds more since then, whether it is movies, concerts or anything else.. by now i probably have like 200 dvds or so. but i dont always buy them, sometimes people give them to me, or copy them for me, or my bf copies them when he rents them...

I only got like 30++ and all of them are Japanese drama..

i just started buying dvd's i currently only have, oceans 11, oceans 12, the kingdom, the dark knight and step brothers, i'm hoping to get more, but i dont think i wanna be bogged down with a huge collection of crap.

I am yet to count my DVDs but i am sure i got over 100 dvds/cds of movies ( Hindi and English) and also i buy lots of blank dvds right now i got over 100 blanks with me and i have already written over 200 in last 3 years well not only me but my best friend and my nephew we all combined wrote ..so u can say some pirated DVDs too and about 30 or 40 games dvd,,,, :D

Ive got a lil over a hundred. I use to buy new releases until I just thought it was a waste of money. Now I just download the movies, its free and cost nothing except the internet bill. My favorite of my whole collection is Transformers. Everytime I watch it it feels like I saw it the first time. Its my favorite because it has good action,cars, and of course Megan Fox lol. I cant wait for the next movie coming out.

I'm not at home where I can actually count how many DVD's I have in my collection but I can tell you now I'm sure it's not as many as some people have. I think I have around 20 DVD's or so. That's only because I have all the seasons of Charmed on DVD and that is 8 seasons so that took up a lot of space. I also have several other movies on DVD but nothing huge. I'm not always a huge movie person and I'm not into movies that much, not as much as everyone else.

I love Amazon. I have gotten so many movies from them. I have about 350 DVD's and about 200 movies on VHS. Me and my husband are serious movie collectors.

We have a couple hundred. Probably way too many. However, one of the local video stores went out of business and everything was blow out prices. We were getting DVDs for as little as a buck. Even the recent or newer ones got as low as 2 bucks. That and also there is a pawn shop here in town and they run specials where the disks are only 1.99. For those prices I am better off buying the movies then renting them. I think Blockbuster charges like 3.50-4.00 just to rent so why shouldn't I buy them. I can always take them to the pawn shop some day and dump them if I really need to.

I don't know an exact amount, but I'd say at least 100+. I'm the same way about buying something. Why drive all the way to the store and not get anything?!? My husband hates sending me because I'll come home with 5 bags more than I should've.
