What will happen to the poor Lady with 14 Kids?

Well, I would have to say she is getting alot of attention. Did she get out of the Hospital Yet? I am she she did by now. Her Dad is standing behind her with support but not her mother. What is munchhausen, I suppose it has to do with money? maybe explain, I haven't heard of that term?

Persons with Munchausen syndrome intentionally cause signs and symptoms of an illness or injury by inflicting medical harm to their body, often to the point of having to be hospitalized. These persons are sometimes eager to undergo invasive medical interventions. They are also known to move from doctor to doctor, hospital to hospital, or town to town to find a new audience once they have exhausted the workup and treatment options available in a given medical setting. Persons with Munchausen syndrome may also make false claims about their accomplishments, credentials, relations to famous persons, etc. But she is actually getting in vitro -- so she is validly getting the rest of the attention. And faking her credentials...she wants to do a TV show on parenting..but as I said before - being a parent of 14 does not make you a good parent. I would say it could be related to munchausen.

She is also going to school for childhood development! I think she is being more calculating... I'm not sure its such a confusing and weird situation! But I totally agree on the munchhausen things! Just lot at the attention she is getting now!

Yes, Terry I know what you mean, I had Three that was enough for me, I lost a son nine years again, from Car accident. I have alot of Grand-children 13 I can't take them all at once!

I don't think the tax deduction for kids will cover all 8 kids. I think there is a limit on that- 2 or 3. And if she is making money through book deals, interviews and a tv show she won't be getting state assistance- there are income limits.

I dont' know if there is alimit... have never heard there is.. what about those that just have 4 or 5 kids? That is a common number. And even if she doest get the money from the book deals etc... first - I would doubt they are going to be very big deals - who wants to hear what she has to say about raising kids? Just cause you have so many, doesn't mean you are qualified to handle that many, and with no father... on purpose.. those kids are denied a father and that is wrong. IMO she has slapped the face of motherhood. Having that many, the way she did, single.. sorry that just wrecks "I'm doing it for an income so I dont' have to go get a job". But the thing is, the job she has made for herself.. those kids are the ones that are going to pay. I saw on the news last night that holding and bonding and rocking... all those things infants and toddlers need... how is she going to supply that? Just anyone who offers to help comes in and holds the babies - how are they going to bond and find security like that! They aren't even out of the hospital and already they are being deprived. And who the heck is paying the bill for the 47 doctors and nurses (that is what the news said) not to mention nursery time and her own hospital stay time... doubt most insurance companies will cover that! Who's paying the bill?!?!?!?

I have no idea who is paying her bills. All I know is that I as a single, unemployed and unable to find work mother, have to fight for every 'cent' I get in assistance. And if you get just a little bit of money from one source there is another source taking away money somewhere else. I have 3 kids, one with special needs. I recently applied for social security disability for the special needs child and it was approved. But now the state is trying to take away food stamp money- so now I have to fill out more paperwork to prove I'm paying rent. How stupid can these people get-

Hi Coffeebreak I heard she didn't want to get married. They showed all 8 of the children on Entainment tonight, I think that was the show.

Not that I agree with what this woman has done, but there are a lot of people that can't work due to problems, but are pregnant... or getting pregnant. They usually stay on bed rest or sit around the house & take it easy. Sometimes things just happen... :D

I saw on the ABC news that her mother - who is taking care of the 6 she already has and was so against the daughter doing this and says there is no way she iwll be able to handle it and no way can she afford it etc.... but the mother said the father wanted to marry her and asked many times, but she kept saying no as "she wanted to have the children on her own" and also before she said she "hopes that the father will come into our lives one day and we can be a whole family". So, guess the stories are getting to "he said/she said" so who knows! But I have to wonder... if the same man is the "Father" to all 14 children...what the heck was he "donating" so much for? He had to have done it in his name or she wouldn't have gotten all his "donations" to say they are all his and if he didn't want to marry her, why'd he give her permission to take all his 'donations" and did he have any say so in how many she took and when? Not a word has been said about the father... hum....

Well who knows maybe some good will come out of this, I hope so for the Kids sake don't you?

i sure hope so. i feel sorry for all the children. this will follow them their whole life. poor kids.

Did you see how proud how all those Doctors were. It took 48 Doctors to deliver those 8 babies.

It is a sad situaion, but something good might come out of this, Who knows, God will see her though it. She has to have some help with all those babies. Can you image bathing and feeding and clothing all those Kids.

Her Mother said she will help her daughter, she can't stay mad at her daughter, iT IS CALL MOTHERS LOVE.

I would go crazy too, she will be running around like a Chicken with her head cut of. I can see her now. "I need some help"

That is a lot of kids. Not only will they have a lot of brothers and sister, but they are going to have a lot of nieces and nephews

I thought this was really weird, but who is to say, I know a Lady that had 27 Kids. And this was Years and Years ago. As a matter of fact I had a Child by one of her Sons.

I think she is trying to work on this with all her Ideas, I hear she wants 250,000 per child? How I don't know, Someone mentioned this. I was looking at CNN, and that is how I follow-up on it.

Maybe she needs to be in a Mental ward, I don't think she is capable of taking care of all those kids!
