Do you have a Compaq Computer?

I would like to know who has one, I just brought a new one. I have to get it registered. Tell me about yours f you have one? What all does it do? Or if you have another brand you can talk about it too. Ok, I am dying to know about your computer and what it does, especially a Compac, everyone I know of has a Dell. Is the Dell better than the Compaq?

I am now using my 3rd Compaq. I would not buy any other brand.

I do have a compaq but it is about 4 years old. I know mine has xp and the newer ones have visita. I usually only use mine to get on line, so I am sure there are many functions of my pc that I don't use.
As far as Dell, I've heard that it is a better pc, but also with a heftier price as well.

Someone said here that that brand is lousy, And it will break down soon? I hope not, I wanted to get a Dell. But I got this one instead, do you have problems with yours?

For the most part it has been a good pc. I think since HP and Compaq merged, they are better pc's. Just be sure to keep a good virus protection. Avast is a good one and it's free.

I am so happy with my Compaq computer. I have never had any problems with it. I bought it about a year ago. I am so glad that I chose this one. It has turned out to be the best computer that I have ever had...yay!@marciascott (25529)

Marcia you need to take the time read user manual. This is not my first Compaq but I still read the manual as a I do not want to screw it up! I honestly do not understand how people can get any type of electronic or appliance and not read the manual.

It sounds like you needed to restart since it may have gone into hybernation mode. Has it done it anymore? Its hard to know since, I dont have any way to review your maual.Maybe calling the toll free service helpline would be good. Have a tech on the phone with you to walk you through it?1 person likes this

I had a Emachine and I really got my money worth out of it, it broke down reasonly, I have had it since 1998 so I got my moneies worth out of it. Thanks for responding.

Hi honey,
Yes I have a Compaq Computer and am using one.
It is lousy. That's it honey.
If you bought it brand vs brand without other consideration, you got scammed. Compaq computers must be one of the worst "branded" ones I have encountered. Use it while it lasts because it is gonna break down soon.
Dell is just the cheapest "branded" computer. It is decent I guess but I don't think it is way superior than Compaq.
PS.: You do know Compaq has been eaten by HP right?

Hi Lordwarwizard, Nice to hear from you. you are the only person that said Compaq Computer is lousy, I hate to here that. well I do have a warranty for it. Why would it break down? that disturbs me?

Yes I would like a Laptop too, How much did you pay for the Monitor itself, I know it was kind of expensive wan't it? Do get back with me. Thanks for responding.
