My first gift card...........

I recieved my first MyPoints gift card on Friday, February 6, 2009. I requested it on January 12, 2009. It was a $10.00 Walmart giftcard. I thought this site was a waste of time for a while but now I know different. It may only be $10.00 but it will help a lot with diapers, wipes, etc. I'm just so excited to have another legit site that I had to share it with everyone. Have you recieved any gift cards from MyPoints before? What gift cards did you get and what did you use them on?

I joined not that long ago. I have not done anything but the mails and tried the surveys, but I never qualify. I have about 1400 points now which is I think what it is for a $10 gift card. I have not chased mine in yet though. I am debating cashing them out or letting it build up more.

Thanks for sharing. I just joined MyPoints about 2 weeks ago I got the recommendation from a friend here on MyLot. I am not visiting the site that much
and my points are very low right now. With this information you just shared with us I think I will be doing more on the site now. I was waiting for my bonus messages to come in my email. If you could give me some good tips to follow I would appreciate it.

Always do your bonus mails (emails). Try all the surveys because even if you don't qualify you'll earn points. I go onto the site daily and do the "easy points". They're the mini surveys, you'll earn points even if you don't go to the sites they want you to visit. Try to get referrals and if you get them, make sure they stay active long enough for you to earn points from them. It's very easy to earn points it just takes a long time. Stick with it, it's definitely worth it. Good luck.

I hionestly don't know if it's open to international members. You earn points for doing numerous thigs on the site. You can earn points for shopping, playing games, doing surveys, reading emails, referrals, using coupons, etc. Private message me and I can send you an invitation email.

I did check into it and they are only open for US and Canada residents. You also must be 18 years old.

I also recieved a gift card from mypoints. It was a ten dollar gift card to walmart. I used it to buy some things that I needed. I think I used it on groceries but I cant remember because it was a long time ago. I have enough points to get another giftcard. I really love this site and it is really easy to use on a daily basis.

Congrats on your gift card. I am waiting on a $25.00 Walmart card from another site. I just requested it the other day. I love shopping at walmart so I like the gift cards.

I used to work there and my fiance still does. He gets a discount there so we pretty much only shop there. They're the cheapest place around us anyway. I wish more sites had Walmart cards.

If you don't mind me asking, What is the other site that you do?

I just looked over their website and I'm wondering if there is a savings when shopping there. When you buy something through them, is it any cheaper than buying in a B&M store or somewhere else online? For instance..if I buy books through them, is it as low cost as buying used books from Amazon? I'm not sure I understand how all this works yet, so am hesitant to join.
Thank you for the information.

They have so many ways to earn points there. It's really easy to figure out. You do earn points for shopping through them but I have never tried it. The different stores offer different amounts of piint through them. Some are like 4 points per dollar spent, others are only 2 points per dollar, etc. Private messageme and I can fill you in in more detail. I can also send you a referral email if you want. You can also earn points for playing games, reading emails, using coupons from the site and a few other things.

You should. It does take a long time to earn points unless you shop a lot online but it's worth it. Good luck to you.

I got a Starbucks gift card in the fall. It took me a really long time to earn the points because I don't buy a lot of things online.
Anyway, I let my husband use it.
Things like these are really good because we can get treats without spending money - it's been hard because we are on a tight budget.

I know what you mean. Our budget is so tight these days. I actually cashed out earlier then I wanted because we needed diapers and wipes for our kids. We did end up working something else out though, so I'm gonna use it for Valentine's Day.

I've recived many gift cards from them 1-2x a year. I usually get a Kohls or a K-mart card, since they require fewer points to redeem for a gc. I wish Target & Wal-mart required the same amount of points but they don't, they require MORE.

I just cashed out again just the other day for my 4th Walmart gift card. I only use the walmart ones because that's pretty much the only place I shop.

You earn piints for doing certain tasks. You redeem the points for gift cards for certain stores. There is no minimum payout, just minimum points depending on what dollar amount you want the gift card for and for which store. I have earned enough points to cash out for the $10.00 gift card and have 895 points left as of today. It does take a while to earn pionts but they are legit. They do pay and you will get your cards faster then any other site. Private message me and I can send you an invitation email, if you want or answer any other questions you may have.

I've recieved 2 T.J. Maxx gift cards for 10 dollars each from mypoints. Love that site! I didn't recieve the points through shopping, but if you ever do shopping online, there are a million stores to shop through on there, so check and see if you can earn points there before you buy anything online.

I don't really shop online either but the site is still worth it. I would imagine that the people that shop through the site do earn points a lot faster. Thanks for responding.

Good for you. Just keep on going. There are still a lot of good and honest paying sites out there. But of course, scam sites are more. So beware. I myself were a victim of a lot them.

hello camomom
congratulations to you on getting your first MyPoints gift card for the amount of ten dollars. whoo hoo! i am also a member of MyPoints and it is fabulous when one has enough points to exchange on their website for a gift card like that. i usually pick the Wal-Mart gift cards and then stash them so that i will have some extra money shopping for the holidays with. and MyPoints is also very prompt in sending out their gift cards to ya. it seems in like no time at all the gift card is there in your mailbox. thanks so much for sharing the good news about receiving your first ten dollar gift card from the website MyPoints.
take care and have a beautiful evening.
