Something needs to be said

Very well said. I am a new member myself and have honestly enjoyed myself. I have learned to be respectful by rating, tagging and respond to everyone that responses to my discussions, but I have been looking over some of the posts and start to think... great goodnes this sounds so childish for someone to go this stuff, but I know that people will do it just to get a rile out of another person. I do wish to continue to have a great time and enjoy meeting new people and sharing common intrests.

I for one am sick of all the omg who did I tick off cause my star dropped posts. There isn't a need for them here. They're just pointless things that inspire trolls, and people annoyed with those posts to downrate you because you're filling the place with trivial posts. It gets old fast. People complain about the trolls all the time and by doing so, are encouraging the trolls. I don't think people realize how a few simple posts about trolls or about the people that do not like them just create a much bigger problem. Stop creating it and ignore it.

most of my friends have left now, the trolls have ruined it for everyone, I might take a break soon too, I am just worn out, it is hard making money, on here and then trolls take the fun out of it.

I have been here in MyLot Land for quite some time now and I personally love it here :) I have met a lot of nice people, and have got a lot of great opinions, suggestions, and insight from members as well. Every time I am in a discussion if I started it or not I still rate everyone a plus! The only time I won't is if they only put a 1 or 2 word answer, copy what someone else is saying, or if they are just being mean, rude, or abusive to another member. I already do try to be cautious as to my friend requests. Too many strange things going on around here lately If they are not happy here, they should really go play in another playground

i agree totally with you... i think those trolls have to realise that they disturbed the peace and fun that we have here... they are the one who have to leave this place and not us... it is such a pity that we good people are the one who leave this place because of those trolls... it should be the other way round... take care and have a nice day...

I always give a plus rating to everyone I comment on or read their discussion. The only way I do not give a plus rating is if I feel that the discussion some how voilated MyLots terms and guidelines. I knwo not everyone does this. But that is the way I have always done it. I have never had a problem with making payout each month. Unless I have not active on here. Such as this month. Life has been rather busy and I have more appointments when I usaully have computer time. Except right now, I should be in bed. As it is 1 AM and 6:30 AM comes around pretty early. But I stayed up watching House episodes on line. But than this disc ussion caught my eye. I thought I would leave youa positive comment and a good arting for such a thoughtful and good discussion you started.

You've got it! I also experienced like my rating had gone down but it doesn't make me nervous or angry. Maybe I posted topic about my rating or answered topic in this category but nowadays I am just positive. I just think of maybe I violated mylot rules and regulations. So I thought of avoiding things that it could decrease my rating. In the first place, without mylot I could be spending my extra time doing nothing. Here, I can exercise my freedom of voicing out my opinion and at the same time I am earning. You're right! If we have complains, we should resign ourselves in a mature way. Two thumbs up for you!

These are the daily happenings in mylot that needs to be addressed and should be constantly put up in a post like this to keep reminding the senior and newbies alike what and why they need to exercise their obligations as the citizen of mylot world. But honestly we can't make people act like robots to go on rating people positively if they don't see anyone deserving it right. And I am not saying that I deliberately rate others negatively. This is not me who wish to see others fall from grace. We all want to be in the elite group of the most prestigious star rating that mylot is offering but not everyone qualify to have it. Though it has no commercial value but the pride of being in the 'blues' is everyone's dream. It is where the challenge lies here. But most often mylotters doesn't realize that to rate people negatively when it is not supposed to will only demerit their own ranking. So do it wisely and do not be influenced by emotions when you rate others. I say..'I need your support as much as you need mine." So let us work together for the betterment of our involvement in mylot . Jealousy and back stabbing should be alien vocabulary as far as mylot is concern.

I agree that if we all love this site, we should all work together to keep it going strong. I am a member of several sites and MyLot is the one I will come back to every day. I miss it terribly when I can't log in. I have been accepting all friends’ requests and it would be a shame to have to think twice before accepting a request. I am going to make it a point from now on to be more diligent with my plus ratings. It took me ages after I joined to even learn what they were all about! I don't understand why some are not happy. I love getting involved in discussions-and there is a lot to choose from-and to be paid for it, why would you complain? I too urge everyone to help one another and hit those plus ratings! And please folks let us all be nice to each other!

Like you I have come to depend on mylot being here so I would hate to see it shut down for any reason. I think your appeal is very mature and should be the way we all behave. After all we are all supposed to be adults here. All we need to do is treat each other with respect and then everyone could get along.

Exactly. I agree with you that if we wish we could destroy it in a week's tome. Destroying is easier than creating and keeping things throbbing. and that is what we need. We are probably in need of some people who are able to play the role you are in now. The mission to save it and keeping it at the high profile. In the morning I read that recently the reputation and ranking of mylot has hone down hill down. Surely this is not auspicious. This is a place where the whole globe merge into one community and high level (some are not )discussion take place and these talks are not only to increase point but to share and find out solution either for an individual or for a nation without being prejudiced. Personally I rate all positive to them who are putting stuff out of context too. what else can I do after all. We have to proceed in a body.

Today is my third day joining MyLot and even though my earnings appeared as 0.40c ,i still feel happy to see that it wasn't zero like ive waited till 7pm yesterday and it was just zero. Now i can see a progress i will be inviting my friends to come here and try. Keep it up then!

[/b]BRAVO[b] Very well said. Personally I love Mylot and want to keep it in my life too. Mylot and my friends here have become an important part of my life. Although if mylot did disappear I would not lose touch with those that are important to me. I have some of my friends personal email addresses, but it wouldn't be the same. Like the saying goes "one bad apple can spoil the bunch", well us mylotters don't have to let that bad apple spoil things for us. This is a good reminder for all us us to continue with our ratings.

You've raised some good points. We all like to be recognized and not torn down. I see no point in being harsh to some posts that may not share my view. Those among us to take things personally or attack others do nothing to help this site. I joined this site for the discussions between people of similar likes or different views. Now if this site would pay more, we all be happier. Some people probably make a pretty good amount here. But that is not why I am, although, a few bucks extra is nice. I think a good thing about us, is that if we work at it we can all be better thinkers, and writers and have better discussions and stars.

I agree Grandma only the problem I have is that most of my good friends (Except you and a couple of others) Have either been banned or closed out their account and are gone regardless.....I find I just don't have as much motivation to be here at the capacity I used to be! I hope I can get myself back up to wanting to be here again but I just don't know...I don't see the use when my last discussion received only four responses...Everyone is gone and no one comes into my discussions anymore... I have PM'd several of my friends on here to get their E-Mail addresses so that I can keep in contact with them no matter what...I sent you one of those PMs I do hope to hear from you soon!! :) HUGS ~Heavens~

i agree w/you 100%. where is all this crap coming from? everybody is leaving, i hardly ever see the people i use to see on here. why can't people just behave & get along instead of acting like 2 year olds. hope your pep talk helps. take care.
