I have slices of top round beak steak, they are very thin, I don't know what to do with them. Any ideas are welcome.

idea #1: slice them into strips & marinade them in maple syrup, soy sauce and pepper for an hour or so. quickly pan fry and top it with sesame seeds. Works are rice topping or goes good with bread too. idea#2: slice into strips, season them with salt and pepper and pan fry it. add broccoli, carrots ,bell pepper and cubed potatoes. pour in 1/8 cup of tomato sauce and add additional spices if desired. idea #3: slice into strips, season with salt and pepper, pan fry. toss in linguine pasta, add lots of olive oil, basil, olives and sundried tomatoes. hope that helps. enjoy!

hello savypat that is what that i make my homemade pepper steak with is using round steak. i fry the meat first, then add lots of delicious ingredients to it like onions, green bell pepper strips and several other different things. then i let that cook down and serve it up over either egg noodles or i will make some rice to go along with it as well. and you could also cut the round steak into strips, fry that up and make sandwiches with it. there are all sorts of different things that you could do with your round steak. and i see that you posted this discussion yesterday, so what did you decide to do with your round steak? thanks for sharing. take care and have a beautiful evening.

Well you could always make a stir fry with some onions and green peppers. Or maybe put it on top of a salad and add some blue cheese.

I would just fry them a little bit, on every side in oil and onions, then pour warm water and let them boil for an hour. Add potatoes, carrots and all other vegetables you have in the house, and boil them together with the meat. At the end you can have your favourite sauce, and serve it . It's delicious, has all you can dream in it. Or, maybe you want just to fry them in a pan, and when ready, add in the plate some potatoes, or peas, or carrots, even rice.It will give it a nice colour and "the eyes" will eat first. Or, you can fry them after cutting them small pieces, and add to the same pot, frozen vegetables, and let them cook for like 20 minutes. You'll have sort of chinese food, ready fast, and tasty. Hope, all these make sense and help.

Will this make them tough? There isn't much fat in them. Thanks

I had a big package of those last week and had no interest in cooking them :) I tossed them in the crock pot with some water, potato chunks and baby carrots. By evening, it was soooo delicious!!!
