If you discovered that you're a lottery winner today, how would you spend it?

We would buy a bigger house immediately and then put aside money for our retirement and our son's college. When that was done, we'd divide the rest among our family members. What would you do?

I'm still thinking. LOL. Probably the same as everyone else. Splurge a little then save a lot!

That's easy, buy homes for me and my family as well as cars, get my stuff out of storage, pay off my bills, give the church some money as well as the church that we used to go to.I would help some friends I know that are having a hard time. But most of all start a program to help people in my area that are in between. They do not make enough money to live on,but too much to get assistance.

Helping people out would be good too. Just like what my parents always remind me, share your blessings. So I would probably do that too.

If I won the lottery today (which would be a miracle considering I never buy lottery tickets!) I'd spend that money paying off my student loans. I'd make sure to pay them all off right now and be done with it. It would save me so much trouble in the end. Then, I'd spend the rest of the money making sure that my family gets out of debt period and that their expenses are paid for completely so it's one less thing that they have to worry about. After that, I'd probably find a savings account and put some of the money away so I know I've got money. After that, I'm not sure what I'd spend the other money on. A new car? Well I do need one considering it's been beaten up a lot this year. A new wardrobe? Well I do need clothes especially since I'll be doing job interviews soon. Otherwise, it's really up in the air.

Paying off debt is really good. I would do that too. Then travel. Other than those two things, the other plans are up there in the air. Not really wise planning something that has no or little chance of happening, right? LOL

I would buy a different house that is one level...and newer so I don't need repairs all the time....then I would gift some of it to my children....and put a bunch in saving....quit work and travel whenever I wanted to!

Would this day really come? Maybe it's just a beautiful dream of everyone's. But I love this dream. If it comes true, I think I have a lots to do. First, pay off my house loan, as you all. Second, I'l like to buy a big diamond ring for my wife. I owe her one. Of course my wife and I will travel some countries and regions, such as France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Hong Kong... And the most important thing is, I needn't stand my boring job, ha ha!

Personally it would be hard to Win the lottery since I hardly ever have bought a ticket, so unless someone was to give me a ticket for some reason, this would never happen. But I do know one thing if I ever did come into a lot of $$, I would definately buy me a nice house away from a lot of people to where I could relax, Write and be alone. I would also help start a home for women who have been abused and rent out the rooms, and help them get counseling, etc. I have always had a dream of wanting to do this, so that would be a major priority for sure.

I'll give some of winnings to my brothers, sisters and in-laws. Buy houses, cars and invest in business to last many generations. I will also deposit some in many banks. Some as time deposit, others in trust fund for my kids. I will also donate to different charities.
