What are some natural remedies to help with poor eyesight? I have heard people said eating onions are good, but I do not like raw onions, so was also wondering if I can eat pickled onions instead.

Eating foods rich in Vitamin A would help. Vitamin A plays an essential role in our the development of our vision: production in retinal. ^_^ so if you do not like onions there are still other foods that you can have to help your vision get better..

That's true! I am still researching how to better improve my eyesight. I do not want to have to take laser surgery, but it may be helpful to me, just that I am scared to mess with my eyes

gt, I eat raw onions all the time and I still have to wear glasses. They also say eat carrots. It's the vitamin A that helps eye sight. I'm sure others will have more to say. Just wanted to drop in to say hi. xoxoxo leenie

gt I just had some laser surgery on my right eye. In 1996 I had a cataract removed from that eye. I really want to say that I understand the fear because I went through it before I had the surgeries. It is so simple and I've been through a dozen surgeries in my life and the eye surgeries were by far the easiest and painless of all. Our sight is worth whatever you have to do to preserve it. Carrots making you see better in the dark is a myth. Parents use to tell their children this in World War II, so kids believed they would see Germans better at night if they were ever attacked. It was said so kids ate their carrots. Vitamin A does help with eye sight in general though so carrots would be an excellent choice.

I can only really eat carrots in salad and that is about it. Never heard abotu this story, but then again it makes sense since sometimes this is the only way you can get children to really eat anything

I have started to eat pickle onions and try to tolerate them raw, but it is difficult at most...and they say cookign them cause vegetables etc to loose a lot of nutrients. At the moment, the best thing to do I guess for me is to try not to spend too much time in front of the computer or TV

There are lots of veggies to help your poor eyesight but it is better to take it as prevention. If you already have poor eyesight it is best to wear glass and not to read with poor light. Squash and carrot is a good source of vitamins that helps to have better eyesight.
