How many hours of sleep is enough for you to be productive?

I can't seem to do a lot of productive activities with less than five hours of sleep. I remember having to sleep for less than five hours way back in college and at the end of the day, there would always be something turning into a mess. Eight hours of sleep works perfectly fine for me. How about you?

Six hours for me is good enough. When I was in law school, getting that amount of sleep is a blessing. I sleep irregularly. Sometimes I just wake up after 2-3 hours of sleep and can't go back to sleep again no matter how tired or sleepy I am. I should probably get sleep therapy or something.
Have a good one.

i need at least 5 hours of sleep to function properly haha. if i get less than that, i'll get a headache and won't feel so good. I usually try to get around 6 - 7 hours of sleep, or more if possible!

I can do about six hours and be okay for about a day and a half. I don't sleep at night for some weird reason and now I have to be more alert for my son who doesn't like to sleep either..so I try to sneak my six in. Once I do that, I can get a lot done around here..

I can go pretty well on 6 GOOD hours if I have a catch up night once in a while.
its those BAD nights I have problems with. Last night was a bad night - between the cats jumping on me, rolling over, cats washing my face and the cat fight as well as the scratch on my eye lid from a cat walking on my face - it was a really rotten night!

Yes, 8 hours is perfect if you can actually do that every night! But I am a college student, and cannot actually sleep early in the night and in the morning I have classes and need to wake up very very early! So, I usually sleep for about 3-4 hours every night :S I hate it! But I love the days apart from the weekend that I don't have early classes, this happens once per week, when I sleep as more as I can! :)

I work a lot better if I get at least 7 hours of sleep. Though I must admit that, although I have been getting my 7-8 hours of sleep for the last several weeks, I do feel tired for the simple reason that for the last few weeks that I have been busy every day of the week, either with rehearsal, classes, school work, guests coming over, and such. But normally, if I'm not this busy and get enough sleep, I can usually function properly and not really feel too tired.
