You, the one reading this at this very moment. What could I do for you to lighten your load today?
I'm feeling a bit down today and a sure fire way for me to snap out of it would be to do something nice for others. So, would that I could, what can I do today that would ease you through the rest of your day?
bonus points for anyone who makes me laugh with their response.

Ok, so you are saying that the only reason to help me is to help you? Hmm.
Just kidding. I know what you mean. I always tell people that the best way to feel good about yourself is to accomplish something, whether it be helping others, doing something that you have put off and getting it done, or, as a last resort..... SHOPPING!!! LOL
It is true... hitting a good yard sale or thrift shop and finding treasures, always makes me feel better. Regular shopping is okay, but something about finding something that you were not looking for, and cheap, is great, especially at Goodwill or Salvation Army, as I know the money is for a good cause.
Sometimes I will do something like organize my closets, or clear out stuff that I have put off getting rid of, and doing it on Freecycle, again, helping me help others to help me!!

Ahh, my friend! You know me well.... I use the Dyer quote often.
Retail therapy!!! Of course. That's what I'm needing.
I know just what you mean about clearing out or organizing something. My husband and I have a way of letting each other know we are feeling this way by saying, "I think I just need to organize my sock draw". It does work.
Thanks for stopping by my little discussion with all your positiveness!!!
But truly, if I could do something to lighten your load today I would. Friends do that.

The sun is shining brightly into my living room and putting me in a good mood. I am always in a good mood when the sun shines. It is God's antidepressant! LOL
But thank you. If I need cheering up, I will give you the word. Usually a hug and a smile will do it.

Just having the opportunity to add a response in a discussion from you is more than enough. Thanks. My day today is going well. I actually started a few discussions for a change. I've been in a myLot burnout as of late it seems. All last week I did very little here. Now today I am active and your discussion was well enough to make my day a bit brighter. Thanks.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Well let's see..............
You could make me coffee for the rest of your natural life.
You could make friends with my dog and clean up her poop for the rest of her natural life.
You could clean my house, do my dishes, take care of my laundry, warm up my bed for me etc., etc.
Or
You could come through your screen and strangle me right now! LOL
Well at least I made myself laugh! ROFL

You could come help me pack!
Sorry that you're feeling down today. I am too a little bit. It's sort of complicated. I should be very excited, and I was very excited before all this started, but now that it's all definite, I'm just scared!
I'm scared that we're going to hate the new place due to how small it is and the fact that there is no yard.
I'm scared that we're piling our bills up too high and won't be able to afford them, and if that happens we'll be in so much trouble and we'll have no help from anyone if we get into any sort of mess financially.
We got our car insurance today, this is the first time we've had our own car insurance in probably 5 years. It's costing us $150 a month. We weren't expecting that! This might put us over our budget, and that's such a scary thought.
I'm also concerned because we've about depleted our tax returns now. Granted we covered all the important things, we bought the car and the house, the car is on the road, we really don't have any other expenses, but it's a sad feeling knowing all that money is gone.
Okay, sorry I wasn't able to make you laugh, and probably just brought you down a few more notches. But thanks for lending me your ear so I could get that load off my chest.
Hey! There you go, you helped me just by letting me rant a little! Aren't you so kind? Your deed is done for the day!

I'm glad you feel better.
Take a deep breath and kick back with a cup of whatever relaxes you. Sometimes our gut feelings, doubts, etc are red flags. You haven't moved yet. As much as you would like to be out from under his family (right, that's part of this), it just might not be the right time yet.
... and I'd love to help you pack. It's always more fun packing someone else's stuff.

I'm sure there is much I don't know. I know you will make the right decisions.
The mommy in me hears 5 kids with no yard to play in and thinks, wow, that is a huge quality of life thing. If you are going to be feeling tense about other things such as bills, you might not need to feel like you are always on top of each other in a smaller place with no outlet. Not meaning to be a nay sayer. Only you and your husband know what's best for your family.

I know what you're saying, but we just really really have to make this work. Up until now I was thinking it was a good move. Our rent isn't going up much, but we're adding other bills which we didn't have before, that's what's got me worried. The car insurance adds a huge bill we didn't have before, we're now going to have Satelite TV which we didn't have before (it's cheaper than cable). My internet cost is going down, and our power bill should be going way way down (can't get much worse than $600 a month that we're paying now).
I mean if we stay, it's still going to be hard on us because of the power bill and we'll still have the added bills, at least the insurance. The only difference is, if we stay and can't pay rent, no big deal. Once we move we have to pay all our bills or we're in deep water!
But we have to make it work! His parents are only part of the problem. There are many many problems.

I would so sweet of you to have offered your services to us. This shows that how caring and gentle you are and you do your best to make others feel happy and at ease. This is one of your biggest positive traits and I do hope that this trait of yours would have alredy won you many friends. You just asking us is more than anything else, you and I know that sitting miles apart, it becomes difficult to practically do something special for a friend, yet you made an attempt.

Sweetheart you have just done it!
The fact that you would offer means alot to me
It makes me feel valued and loved ..thank you
Now to make you laugh or at least feel sorry for me lol...
I was going to walk the dog and as I leaned forward
I reached for her to hook the least to her collar ..I had my hand on her
when the cat jumped off the dresser on Daisy's back..
Daisy turned quickly which caught me off balence..
I stepped forward to catch myself but my foot landed
in her huge water dish splashing the cat who took off like a shot
He hates water, rain etc...Daisy took this as an invitation to
play the chase me then I'll chase you game...did I mention that somewhere
in this madness I had hooked the least to her collar ...so I was off too
I banged my head on the table straightening up then
into the ironing board which flipped it over on it's side,
grabbed the hot iron..ouch..unplugging it..now this meant we have a
human, cat, and dog team running the newly designed agility course.
I somehow ended flat on my belly on the livingroom carpet
(thank God for carpet)..Daisy thought "aww what a great place to sit
my boney butt"...It took some conviencing before she would
understand that I was getting miffed and not playing a new kind of game!!
Daisy is my 7 month old great dane pup that is nearing 100 lbs so you can see my
problem with that game!!!
Honey your day has got to be better then that!

Sorry to be laughing so hard, but that is the funniest thing I've read in a while. Plus, you didn't mention anyone getting hurt except possibly an iron burn. I hope you all came through fairly unscaithed.
Yes, my dear, my day has been much better than that.
Sit down and have a nice cup of tea. You deserve it!

You are so sweet to feel better by doing stuff for others. Though your discussion is is a few days old and I hope you are feeling better today. Sometimes I get the winter blues because I am indoors more often and stuff. But today i may have been outside just a minute or so too long...

Hey pots! I'm sorry that you are not having such a great day!
I'd like to say that I'm having a good one, but it's so damn
cold here again! It's back in the very low 30's and I'm
freezing my azz off! I am sitting in my kitchen/office which
thankfully is next to the oven which I have turned on so I
can get warm! This is what I call "the life"? I have spent
almost this whole winter like this! I am anxiously awaiting
the arrival of Spring! If you could speed that up I would be
so greatful! If not, oh well! I hope you have a better day
tomorrow and me too!
