I don't like to wash plates and pans all the time.. hahah that's to be honest. I feel that this is unending work to do everyday. I just do it because it is a must or else we have nothing to use and our sink is like a dumpster hahaha.. Honestly? I felt bad to see our sink always full of used plates, saucers, cups, glasses, pans etc. I keep on wondering why it is always like this? I want to rest washing but i can't.. there is no body to do that except me. We don't use electric washer because it will raise our electricity bills. what about you? do you love to wash plates all the time? I don't!!! just curious how you did it. Are you using disposable plates just to rest washing once in a while?

I don't have a dish washer, so it has to be done. If it doesn't get done then who will do it?

yeah, true that. I guess I miss understood your question. Who will wash them? Never thought of that. To me that's weird to think of. I would like to think that someone would do them. If not... that's a whole different story.

I also don't want to wash those dishes. But because the degree program I choose which is biochemistry deals with a lot of washing so that you will avoid contamination, i now wash dishes. My degree program becomes my inspiration.

Ah wow!! what does it say in biochemistry? there is a lot of contamination if we don't wash our dishes right away? really? that might encourage me not to leave dirty dishes in the sink?

It's okay for me to wash plates, drinking glasses, some small bowls but I hate washing pans and spoon and fork. Especially if the pans have so many stains that are hard to remove. Wherein you have to scrub so hard, press so hard on the pans just to take the stains out.

Hello friend, just like you do I hate to wash plates too. I would prefer to do something else that doing the used dishes. . This is the reason that i may like to cook at times but if no one will do the dishes for me then I would opt not to cook since I used a lot of plates and bowls to mixed up the ingredients and I see to it that I put it in several bowls and plates. Hahahahha. I hope someone will o the dishes at times. This is a chore that I don't often do. Gret to hear that someone doesn't like it as I do.

Hey bebs! I do know how you feel! I don't have a dishwasher so I don't have a choice! I try to wash the dishes right after I eat so that they don't pile up in the sink! But, there are times that I just don't feel like washing and I will leave a few in the sink to wash at a later time. If there is something that I feel is going to be hard to wash I will sometimes let it soak in the sink for awhile. But, most of the time I do try to wash them as soon as possible because I really do hate when they start to pile up and the sink isn't that big to begin with!

Hello Bebs08! I also hate washing dishes. I guess it's too hassle and besides it's like a life long work. I remember my siblings and I used to fight we will wash the dishes. It's just that you enjoyed eating and then afterwards after enjoying, you will do the job..hehehe.. Here in the Philippines, we don't have electric washer or maybe there is. I don't know. Maybe if there's electric washer it would be darn expensive..hehehe..We didn't use paper plates too, we wash our plats from time to time.

Normally, our maid servant does this. But, I do not mind doing all these whenever she is absent. I manage to do it in phase. I feel doing at a time is a heavy task. I'm also planning for paper plates for such occasions, but not yet implemented.

Yes I do buy paper plates sometimes because also, the only dishwasher we have is me! Been doing dishes for 40 plus years! I did finally find that if everyone rinses their dish as they put it in the sink or basin, it helps a great deal. Also found the 'science of water' that just a little bit of water tightly in a pan will soak the pan as well as filling the pot will. (Perhaps everyone already knew this for years! But I didn't!) It's less heavy and less messy! I always save any pots which would be more difficult for the next washing session letting them soak in this way. I wash dishes while I am cooking and then after the meal there's just a few, then I forget about dishes until the next meal. Eating out is nice! The few times we do it!

U think, you are right!! if everyone rinses hi plate it would be a great help to the washer. And yes eating out is good to give the washer a break.. but is too expensive.

Hi Bebs, I am okay in washing dishes, I am use to that since I am not the one cooking even back home! I am always assigned to wash dishes! I also do hand washing since we are trying to save each day! I am freak about washing, I want to wash right away and don't like to pile it in the sink.

I too do not like to wash the plates and pans. But I do not like to see them piling in the sink either. And I am not in favour of the electric washer. I would prefer taking the trouble of washing them rather than putting them in the dishwasher. I do not like using the disposable plates either.

I guess this is one area where people can honestly say that they are not happy! I too am not keen on doing the washing up. I wish I had a dish washer of some kind, I just don't have the money for that at this time though. Still, I have a technique which I use constantly. When I cook my meal in the evening, just before I begin, I make sure that I fill the washing up bowl with boiling hot water with washing up liquid. By the time I have finished my meal the water has cooled down slightly although it's still very hot, and then I do the washing up straight away. This certainly works for me. I used to get into a state whereby I would leave the dishes and eventually there would be dishes all over the place! Disposable plates would be very nice though! If only they didn't cost anything to buy and you could pick them up for free some how. Andrew

I actually hand washed the dishes for the first 8 or 9 months when I moved into my new condo. I started using the dishwasher after that, but I try to wait until I have enough dirty dishes to fill it at least 2/3 of the way. I live alone and only have a 4-serving set of dishes/bowls/silverware plus some pots and pans. I also use paper plates for some of my meals.

That is good if you are the only one in the house. you can minimize the use of plates.. plus you have the dishwasher, it is not a problem. For me? I don;t have dishwasher so I have to do it by hand.

i wash plates and pans also sometimes if we dont have maid. what i do in order that i would not wash so many, i would buy aluminum foil or plastic wraps and i would cover the plate with it. after we eat, i just take out the aluminum foil and i dont have to wash the plates. however, it's just a bit costly because i would have to spend on aluminum foil.

Well I have to say that normally I will just pop my dirty pots and pans into the dishwasher. I hate washing dishes but if I am going to be truthful I hate cleaning my bathrooms more than any other household chores that I have to do. I am a stay at home mother of two and since my two daughters are still young, I have to make sure that everything is clean or they get into trouble. I vacumm my house at least twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before I put the girls to sleep. I don't mind doing the rest of the cleaning as it is pretty simple to do. I don't blame you for not like housework all that much, I don't know all that many people that do, LOL.

Well, I don't mind cleaning the house or the bathroom. I clean our bathroom when I think it is needed to be cleaned.. LOL.. I vacuum 3-4 times a week only because we have no little kids making mess but washing the dishes is different because it is a daily routine.. 3 times a day? When I was single am not usually doing the household chores because I am working and we have somebody in the house who do that thing.. I have no time when I was working... but now that I am staying home? I have to do everything. I don't mind the other house work but the dish washing is.. I don;t like.

I love washing my plates even up to three times a day because it can also cleaned up my hands. Don't you know that if your hands are not clean most of the time, you maybe infecting yourself or spreading your germs or disease to other people. Or you might have problems in cold, flus, and infectious diarrhea in which, are all known to spread by hand-to-hand contact. In a survey of adults most specially in US, 92% claimed they regularly wash their hands. And of course, in order to save your water bill as well, you can frequently wash your hands through washing all your dishes. This might be helpful for you too hehehehe... Have a happy MyLotting my friend :)
