I personally like to eat half of them and save the rest of later. ;) (JUST KIDDING!)
Do you use a program like Ccleaner, or do you clear your cache "manually" (by going to "internet options" and clearing them that way?) I personally use Ccleaner & find that it's pretty effective, although sometimes it can be pretty slow. :P Which do you find easier and more effective?

I have CcLeaner software..
but ccleaner does not clear my offline website data..
so in my mozilla browser, i go to
Tools -- clear private data -- and i tick cookies and offline website data.
Then i'll give Clear private data now
This is the way, i remove cookies...
Have a nice time!!!

When i run Ccleaner software on my friends system who uses internet, we were shocked to see that he has 4.7 of unwanted files..
Ccleaner is always simple and great software of all time..

Hi maezee,
You got it! I use ccleaner.
But I normally clear the cookies from the browser using the browser's own clearing anyway. After that, I will use ccleaner before I shut down the computer.

Im using opera and I think it is more effective if you just clean it manually so you can choose what to delete and what should not be deleted.

I am using CCleaner too! I think it's the most reliable free software available right now. I think it's pretty safe too! I have tried other softwares but i don't trust them much. I'm also using Tweaknow. It's pretty much reliable too! Too bad they don't update anymore. I also clear my cookies straight from the oven.. er, i mean browser.

I rarely bother. My cookies are set to prompt, so I only have the ones that are useful to me (logins and such). All the others are automatically blocked. A regular run-through with spyware software makes sure I haven't picked up anything nasty, too.

Really? I experience the opposite - my computer usually runs slower when there's all those temporary files & cookies stored (it takes up memory, I'm pretty sure) and so it's necessary to clear them every once in a while (usually once a day or so), just to keep my computer running normally.
It's also helpful when you share a computer with someone else - especially when you both have an account on the same website. For example, when me and my sister lived together, we both had Yahoo! email addresses, so it was nice to clear my cookies so SHE wouldn't accidentally log into my email and vice versa. It's great if you forget to use your "logout" option on most sites.
Anyway, thanks for answering!

I thought you were discussing about food - cookies, but after i read further it is about your browser cookies. you really made my stomach hungry.
Well i do not have to use other software, for my browser - Firefox has the option to auto delete your private cookie upon closing the Firefox web browser.
If you have Firefox browser, then you may go to - tools option Privacy under "private data" Tick the box which says "always clear my data when i closed Firefox" then you may select "settings" under "private data" you may choose browsing history, download history, saved form and search history, cache, cookies, offline website data, saved passwords, authenticated sessions
I hope my explanation helps all of you.

People don't erase their cookies to "hide" anything; they erase them because cookies are essentially temporary files that are being stored on your computer (ANY time you log in at ANY site), and pretty much just SLOW down your computer (depending on how much free memory you have available, I suppose). It's not about hiding anything.
Clearing cookies is also a good way to make sure your offers on GPT sites get credited (if you make money via those sites).
Thanks for your answer! And just so you know..I'm not doing anything illegal online either.

well, usually i do that manually. But, sometimes, my free avg antivirus and antispiware it`s telling me that i didn`t delete them, and and me if he should do that, and i`m just tellig him ! SURE.., but usually i just go to internet options and clean thouse for myself. I even clean the history too and all that i should clean.

I prefer to do it manaully. if fact I do not like that in IE7 it lumped all these tasks together. I just do not trust windows. ilike to drill down into the profile and get ride of evrything, recent documents, apps, temp folder, if it can be traced back I like to delete.
