I am not the "fashionista" type and certainly don't buy expensive clothes. I bought this new blouse from a store two weeks ago and I thought it really looked nice. So I wore it on my first day after two weeks of vacation from work. A week after, I saw somebody wearing the exact same thing that I was wearing. I was just really thankful that I didn't wear that blouse that day...arrrghhh....But this is a warning sign that I can't wear the blouse at work. Too bad... It's so annoying to see somebody else wearing the same clothes I both...tsk tsk...do any of you have experienced the same thing? Please share your experiences...

Yes, one time I went to a function at my mom's church, and I had just bought a blouse so I thought I would wear it, when I got there, this other lady had the same blouse on that I had on, I think I wore my jacket the whole time I was there..haha. Don't you hate when that happens...haha..Have a good day

Though I have not yet experienced this kind of situation, wouldn't you look at it in a good way wherein a co-worker of yours must've probably saw you wearing that blouse before and found it also nice like you did. So nice that she even bought one herself when she found one exactly like yours? Hmmm, then again, if you aren't close to that person, it would really be awkward, I guess. Then again, she probably bought that exact same blouse with the same idea that it looks really nice, only not knowing that you have also bought the same kind. Hmmm~ honest mistake? Then again, it brings in mind if anyone really has the right to wear particular clothes that she 'first' gets to buy and have others find their own set of clothes to wear? Its probably different among guys, I suppose..

We do not know each other so I'm sure it's coincidence. If I saw the same design in a store that is worn by somebody I know I definitely won't buy it. I don't want to see myself in uniform or something when we bump into each other. With men it's different, it doesn't look too annoying... especially if were talking about just plain shirts...

So that concludes your newly bought blouse shouldn't be worn at work? Find a different store wherein co-workers probably can't go to and buy clothes that are also pretty? Hmmm~ clothes simply grants another expression of ourselves and it does show the personality of a person. Seeing someone wearing the same design would rattle one's foundation of his or her individuality, uniqueness, and to some extent, their identity. For others, they try to alleviate that 'uniform' scenario by adding distinct accessories to their appearance. Similar to high school students who wear uniforms most of the time, they try to show their individuality by wearing their uniforms differntly. Then again, your at work which grants you to wear your own choice of clothing.

Yes, you should just be thankful that you both didn't wear it on the same day. I have been to school events before where someone was wearing the same top as mine, but they were both different colors. I was so embarrassed. I just stayed away from that person all night. BTW...did the shirt look better on you or her?

My friend had given my a blouse for my birthday, very bright colors, but it looked good on me. I had worn it several times before I noticed an older lady at church wearing the exact same blouse. This lady would make a big deal out of our having the same blouse if we wore them at the same time. So I don't wear it to church anymore.

Ha!ha!ha! I understand your feelings my friend! I too certainly would not want to see someone else wearing the same blouse that I have. I've experienced that too some some months ago. I bought a new lavender blouse and the color I so loved. I wore in the church and my church mates even commented positively about the cool color of my blouse. Well, I've not repeated wearing that blouse again in the church since then but some 3 weeks ago, I saw one of my churchmates wearing the very same color and style of that blouse. Nhahhh! My son told me about it and so disappointed I am that it was even one of my good friends in the church who was wearing that! Ha!ha!ha! It was gifted to her by another church mate! Ha!ha!ha! Of course she might not have remembered that I have the same blouse coz I only wore the blouse once! So I did not bother to tell her I have exactly the same blouse. I just promise to myself I won't wear that blouse again in the church. Of course I can wear it in the office but not in the church!

I use to worry about that before I learned to accessories, after that never again did i wear exactly the same thing someone else had on. A scarf, a vest, a short coast took are of that. I also wear a lot of black that way it's hard to tell if the under blouse is the same as someone else.

I wouldn't quit wearing it. We laugh here when two or more of us dress the same way or in same colors. One day there were like 4 of us all in animal prints. It was awesome and we joked about taking a picture. Just wear it and if you do happen to wear it on the same day, make sure you tell the other lady you love her blouse! There is nothing wrong with two people having the same shirt.

it has happened to me a few times. one of my dear friends had bought the same skirt that i had so we used to joke that we got it at a 2 for one sale! another time, i was at a banquet and a much older lady had on the exact same dress! (i sat a long ways away from her!) sometimes, this happens and you have to deal with it. i would still wear the blouse!

hahaha!! a lot of my friends had that kind of experience, it not blouse, a dress which look the same thing with others and like you, they don't want to wear it again. Well,if it happened to me, I would be glad if the one who has it is a friend, at least we look like having a uniform.. hahahah but if I don't know that person wearing the same kind as I have? I probably don't wear my thing for a long time..

I tend not to buy clothes if i see a friend of mine has it, but if i bought something first and then i see my friend with it i get really annoyed. Most of the time i ignore them for a day. One time i went out and bought a Superdry Coat, it was the fashion at the time, then this person i know bought one. Then after it he has started copying other people and i am sick off him buying other peoples clothes.

I think you're fine to wear it to work, particularly if you should wear it with unique jewelry and or a scarf. You can usually dress something to look quite different and express your style so that it does not look like a mirror image of the other gal. Worry less about what other people think... most people know that more than one blouse that style and color was made and sold. People can be very realistic and their reactions are based largely on your own attitude. If you seem uncomfortable, they will be more apt to pick up on why and your own discomfort adds to legitimizing any scorn. Great self esteem goes a long way for deflecting attention from minor flaws.

friends forever - me and one of my bestfriends... this is one of the many pictures have while hanging out at my house and when we made our own music videos.
Hi there. I understand how you must feel seeing somebody wearing the same type of blouse that you have. I have experienced the same thing too. It was wash day at our school so we are required to wear civilian clothes. I wore my new brown ruffles blouse with black leggings. Then my classmate and close friend wore the same blouse and even the same color of leggings! We laughed a lot but deep inside, I felt annoyed. But we have to admit, we will never know if somebody we know owns the same thing unless they have worn it too.

This is the "dilemma" of my dear sister, once we go to a shopping mall then slowly like a candle which melted she hid somewhere and looks like crying, I asked her, whats going on? she whispered and told me she need to go home that once, she hated the fact that almost everywhere in the mall she bumped into someone wearing same shirt ! The fact is that, her shirt was bought to another friend who give her a brochure of wonderful RTWs that need to be order, much of its frustration, you look like a jerk when you realize there has been plenty of customers who have same choice as yours. Lesson well taken she never bought to ordered stuff on ladies brochures especially on clothes.

If you really like the blouse, wear it; the two of you just have similar tastes in clothing :) There's nothing wrong with that. Also, most of the world lives in poverty. Just be grateful you even have a new shirt, and wear it with gratitude!
