I really need to go get some coffee now! lol
It would be easier to go buy a cup of starbucks for myself.
They built one around the corner about 10 months ago.
I wouldn't have to MAKE the coffee.
BUT I could go to Publix which is about the same distance and buy some coffee to have for the house all WEEK for just a dollar or two more! Yes, I do have a tight budget.
So, you you drink starbucks coffee? How often do you indulge?
Is it overrated or is it a small luxury you think you deserve once in a while?
Or is it a necessary part of your life now?
Do you consider the cost of a cup of coffee when you go buy one?
You can answer any or ALL of these questions. Or heck! Make up a few of your own!
See you later!

I like Starbucks, but in all honesty it's too expensive for me to buy more than occasionally. I get coffee more frequently at the chain of convenience stores where I live, as they also pride themselves on how good their coffee is, and it's about 60 cents a cup cheaper. Mostly though, I make it myself, at home, when I am home. I'm unemployed right now and job-seeking. Every dollar counts. So I just make it at home. But I like getting Starbucks gift cards from friends and family from time to time. :)

When I was working and buying coffee "on the go" more regularly, more often than not, I'd get my coffee at 7-11 or the Mobil gas station, but Starbucks was a nice treat.
I don't drink coffee out, as often. I'm not working and money is a concern for me.
But when I do still have coffee away from home it's still about the same.
I enjoy receiving and giving Starbucks giftcards for Christmas too!

Hi miamilady! Starbucks is really expensive and I only go there when friends come over and wanted to have a coffee at Starbucks. So if it will be only up to me, I won't since I have 3 more bags of Starbucks coffee beans stocked in my cupboard. LOL! Fortunately a friend of mine gave me bags and bags of Starbucks coffee beans as a holiday present and I still have 3 more left. That has saved me a lot!
Take care and have a great day!

I'll drink it once in a while, if I'm out but coffee prices are pretty high and it peeves me to have to pay the prices they ask. I'd rather wait until I'm settled here on my computer and get up and make one.
Why don't you have your coffee pot right beside the computer? That way, you can just reach out and pour it when you need it.
Brightest Blessings.

I rarely go to places like Starbucks. While it is fun occasionally, I guess I'm just cheap. I go for regular coffee and an occasional flavored coffee packet that I can get at the grocery store.

No I haven't had starbucks before. I may from time to time get a cup of coffee from the gas station, but otherwise I make mine at home and I drink coffee at work. I do treat myself to some good coffee creamer which will last me a few weeks for the cost of a starbucks coffee.

Good morning miami. I've only had Starbucks coffee a couple of times. It is way out of my budget and I find that it is too strong for me. The McDonald's up here has some specialty coffees that I like better but still a little too much to pay for. My granddaughter suggested the little quick mart are cheaper and since I'm not a coffee connoisseur It's good enough for me as an occasional treat. If I'm having just plain coffee I make it my self here at home since most place or a bit far to go just for a cup of coffee. I have found some instant recipes for some of those flavored coffees.I'm waiting for the Duncon Donuts to open that is near our place.

Starbucks? You need to come to Canada and have a cup of coffee at The Second Cup! Yummy! That's the best coffee in the world. Starbucks tastes like crap, when compared to the Second Cup. I go to the second cup every day and have a mocha latte. I love their mocha lattes. YUMMY!

WEll luckily I don't have a starbicks - in fact I don't have any coffee shop nearby and even if I did I couldn't get there on my own so that means I don't get the temptation to go the starbucks route! lol I tend to get my caffeine from cold drinks mostly but do enjoy a coffee every day - usually always made at home and sually instant - if I make a pot I end up drinking it all straight away and end shaking! xxx

I hardly drink starbucks coffee as it is little costly and with the recession setting in the market its difficult to afford the same. The pocket size is reducing day by day and so we need to manage our expenses in the same manner.

I never order from outside anymore, I just can't afford it. My budget is so tight that it will not allow it. But my birthday is friday and I am being taken out.

I love coffee. I used to drink it everyday, all day long and still be able to go to sleep at night. I love Starbucks on occasion as well and you reminded me that I have a gift card. I love the latte's with the whip cream and chocolate shavings on them. I had to stop drinking coffee for awhile as I had an episode with extremely high blood pressure last week where I had to go to hospital for observation overnight.

nah.i avoid our starbucks like the plague.
they charge $6 for a small coffee..they can keep it.
my idea of indulgence is getting a pound bag of hazelnut coffee from the local dunkin donuts.

Seriously, my addiction was Carmel Vende...at over $5.00 here in B.C.! And I only indulged on Town trips (about once a month)...but I did a little cost calculating, and when I was buying 1 KG of Coffee at Walmart for $5.89...which gave me over 100 cups, I knew that it would be one of the expenses that I would be cutting, even tho' the indulgence was seldom.....and the taste wonderful...it just didn't make good economic sense! Yup...I am having withdrawals..and was doing fine until you brought it up! LOL!

I absolutely love starbucks! I used to hate people who spend so much on Starbucks because I thought it was a waste of money! Then I started earning for myself and actually had the budget to try it out for myself. SOOO addicting.
The problem I have though is that I tend to get tired of things too easily. And now I'm slowly getting tired of the drinks they offer... I hope they get a promo or something. I also don't know what I'd have for an alternative... It's not like other coffee shops can offer drinks with the same quality.
I have Starbucks at least once a week to indulge :) And no, it's definitely not overrated. Although, it IS expensive.
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Well i never been to starbucks as the sotre is not in my country yet.. the outlets are limited i suppose but yes i have studied about starbucks a lot and appreciate their marketing strategies. well for me i rarely visit coffee shops as they are really way too luxurious to go for everyday . i hardly hangout with my sister to coffee day, barista just for some coffee which are my fav like choco frappe and devils own as wel as for chicken puffs and assorted sandwhiches
