Have you ever been sprayed by a skunk?

Funny you should ask but oh yes I have. It ranks right up there with the spring that I fell in the cow manure. Both of course requiring an outdoor bath. The trick to skunk is the use of tomato juice. Does the trick every time. And yes I had a black cat on my trail but that time it had a white stripe on its tail. tee hee

**Knocking on Wood** I have never been sprayed by one nor have my pets. A friend of mine's dog did get sprayed by one and she had a heck of a time getting rid of the smell. I think it was tomato juice (several baths) that did the trick.

YUCK no never And i would hate if that happens The traditional way of getting rid of the smell if ones dog has been 'skunked' is tomato ketchup. Depending on how easy it is to access the underneath of the house perhaps you could dilute some tomato ketchup with vinegar and apply it with a spray bottle. Good luck!

As a matter of fact I do.....My brother got sprayed by a skunk when he was about 6 years old. Boy did he stink. My mom threw away all his clothes including his shoes and gave him a bath in every tomato product that we had in the house. I have to admit I thought it was pretty funny. :)

I never been sprayed by and animal so far...Sorry, can't help you there. I would think, you'll just have to wash all your clothings and spray them with Febreze or something like that.

No, never been sprayed and would like to keep it that way. Our neighbor was just telling me last night that they saw a white skunk at their house. Never heard of that. Hope it stays over there.

I try not to call my friends that. Plus I stand to the side when in the bathroom.

my dog has gotten sprayed numerous times! my mom would just wash him over and over again; even tried the tomato juice thing but in the end, we had to shave him to get rid of the smell for good!!
