Do you think that the weather could influence your moods?

Good day, mylotters It has been foggy and rainy for several days in my city. And in the foggy and rainy day,I just was down in spirits. I became lazy and lack of interests in any things. Today is a sunny day that I feel good as soon as I see the sunshine. Do you think that the weather could influence you moods? Whether it is just a kind of emotional instability of myself? Would you like to share with me? Happy mylotting.

yes certainly it does..its a known fact that people in countries with very hot weather lose their cool very easily and have a short temper whereas people in cold conditions are more calm..

It is scientifically proven that the weather can affect people's moods. Some more than others though. I doubt it means you are emotionally unstable just more subseptible to external circumstances which might mean you are more subseptible to depression and other such mood disorders. I am affected by the weather-rainy is bad, sunny is good and so on. but I also suffer from depression.

Yes definitely. But it is when I am not bogged by other worries in life. Like currently there are so many serious things that are worrying me.So the weather, good or bad do not influence so much now.

The weather influences my mood. If it's rainy, cold and just nasty outside, I am in a lazy, droopy mood. I like bright sunny days, they seem to make me chipper and I get done everything I need to get done.

Yes, the weather do affect our feelings. I have noticed since there is still winter here, some days are gray and sad. Those days I feel I have less energy and rather want to stay in bed. But when I wake up to a sunny day, I have a smile on my face, and feel lots of energy and go to work with a happy heart. I noticed the differencys and therefore, yes, the weather do affect my feelings.

Yes,the weather does influence my mood quite a bit. If it is dark and dreary outside, I have a lot less motivation than I do when it is bright andsunny.

Hi candy..I have a couple different answers to this one. yes the weather can influence how you feel, but not your mood. THere is something called weather affective disorder that when the temperature takes sudden drops or increases, it can effect your health... I beleive its your mind and not the actual weather that effects your mood. SOmetimes we think we love a nice rainy day, laying and listening to the sound of the rain is so peacefull..But if it rains for too long or too many days, we wish to see sunshine and all of the sudden the rain is no longer desirable. Same with sunshine...We feel great when we see sun after a long cold winter,,,After too much heat and sun, we like to see rain...after too much rain we want sun, and so the circle begins again. So you see, I dont think its the weather per say, its a matter of mind over weather!

I think the weather influences a lot of people's moods. I know it influences mine! I feel like I have more energy and am more productive on nice days. Rainy and foggy days make me feel like relaxing and I feel like I don't have as much energy or get as much done. I had been kind of lazy lately and I really think it was because I'm getting tired of winter weather. Since last week, we have had a few nicer days where I can go outside without bundling up and it's also been pretty sunny. I've felt more energetic since we started having these nicer days and I really think they are the reason!

When it's rainy I notice I'm sleepy and tired. But when it's sunny I have more energy. So yes, I think the weather can effect my mood.

Yes, definitely! I love the summer and the sun that is so abundant, but in the winter I get lazy and tired. Isn't that where the term "Seasonal Affective Disorder" came from? When the sun is out I feel energized and so happy!!

Of course the weather affects one's mood and so does the moon! During a full moon, police get a lot of crazy calls and mental institutions have their hands full by patients acting much more insane. When it is a cold, damp or rainy day, people tend to be a little moody and depressed acting and older people have a lot of extra aches and pains. The kind of day that makes everyone act and feel the most normal is a warm, sunny day. These are all facts of science and can be found on certain sites on the internet!

Not only do I think the weather influences moods, I know it does. In the winter months here I just have no energy and get depressed, it is known as SAD (Seasonal affective disorder). Mine isn't as bad as some peoples but bad enough that it does make it hard at times to just do everyday things. Now come spring, I'm a bundle of energy and clean out everything, I'm like on a high. Take today for example. It isn't the greatest yet but I SEE GRASS and it is now 42 degrees compared to the other day which was -7! I have gotten books gone thru. Bags ready to go to the Salvation, cleaned out my dresser and it is only 11:30 AM. I'm so ready to burst! LOL!

In my own experience, absolutely yes. Hot weather will make you feel uncomfortable and uneasy. Cold weather makes our body relax and sometimes we feel sleepy. During summer time. There is a tendency we think faster than durinmg winter. maybe because we tend to make our jobs be done in a short period of time because its too hot. During winter, our body loves the bed maybe because we need warm and we cannot burn nutrients much to become energy.

The weather definitely influences my mood. I'm originally from California & never really noticed the weather's effects until I moved to Washington State. I swear in the 3 years I lived there, I only saw 2 full weeks of sun during 'summer'. I think the rain in Tacoma makes it's residents a little fruit loops. I now live in Kansas & I find after being here a full year that sunny days I have more energy versus the cold winter of snows/rains that make me feel like I should be hibernating. lol

Yeah I agree. Rainny days make the days longer and makes people sad. When it is sunny, makes people happy:-) at least me ;-) I feel more motivated when the weather is warm and sunny.

Hello candy811123 I just hate the day so cloudy or a dull day, it better rains than not. I would feel better if it rains, if it keeps cloudy and dull in daytime than I would feel tired and moody.
