as you all know ,i have sort of balance problem which prevents me from working outside.but that doesnt mean that i am inactive at home.i have to do a whole lot of household chores right from washing clothes to preparing meals.......only thing is that i take a lot more time than others,as i have to be careful,so that i donot lose my balance suddenly.i also do have some friends who visit and some time ,i spend on mylot.....but outside travelling i do in car.how about you there????

Hello my friend riyasam Ji, At this age, I have lot many health problems like Arithrites, DM2, HTN, UTI. But I am not dependent on anyone. Apart for my own work, I prepare meals, I bring fresh milk half Km away from my place on daily basis. I do not have a car and travel in auto/bus etc. But i am always accompanied by my hubby. May god bless you and have a great time.

I also have balance problems and can do most things in the house. I do not have dizzy spells all the time but when I do have to lay down. I can walk but not drive so I go out for walks to walk the dogs almost everyday. I spend time on my computer everyday so I do stay busy.

Do you use a cane or a walker? I have used both and now I just use my cane and some days I do not even use the cane it depends upon how well I feel.

Hi! Riya! You please keep your spirits high and keeping doing whatever you can do conveniently. Physical activities are must for making our bodies healthy. I am physically active and try to do all my tasks by myself, instead of depending on others. However, for food etc. I depend upon my better half, who looks after that Department.

It's quite ok. I am fine but do everything slowly and safely. I do not think there is any problem. Carry on the way you can. There are many others who do not do anything because of laziness.

I could say that I am very active. My work involves training on safety courses and this involves not only discussions but movements as well. I also do a lot of travel considering that I conduct lectures and demonstrations outside our city. So I would say that I am physically active and mentally active as well.

We are pretty much the same. I am doing a load of household chores everyday aside from my online work here. I am active everyday.. cleaning, washing, sewing, writing and etc. There are times that I will go out with a friend. I am not driving but a friend of mine will just pick me up in the house and I can enjoy in the outside world from my house. It's fine!!! I am Active!!!

I am very active every day, I don't have a choice! I am up before dawn and my time is spent doing household chores, working and taking care of my seven year old daughter. I don't exercise very much but I am on the go most of the time and I am exhausted at the end of the day and I think that's enough for me!

I used to be very active, phisically and mentally. Now, being active phisically, is harder and harder. I do all the house's chores (laundry, cleaning, cooking, baking, dishes...) but everything is taking me three times more time. And I'm tired easily. What I do, is walking as much as I can, even if it's inside a mall.Interesting, that walking, does not tire me so much. Also, for being active mentally, I write here in the forum, and two more places, I work in an office, and at night, before going to sleep, I solve at least one Sudoku.

as you pointed out mental activity is backed by the physical activity.....utmost importance must be given to both of them.....i always strive to stay fit and healthy and relax when and where necessary just to burst out the stress!!!!

I am very active mentally. In fact I really strive to constantly challenge and learn everyday, "To keep away the brain rot" is what I usually say. Physically I am normally pretty active, but occasionally...due to how active I am mentally, I can forget to stay as physically active as I'd like.

I am mentally more active than physically. My work is in accounting so I am always on front of the computer doing computations and analysis. After work, I am often too tired to want to do any physical exertion. I know that there should be physical and mental exercise for us to be healthy but most of the time, my mind is too tired and all I want to do is to sleep. I think some of my few physical exertions are when I carry my laptop around, when I carry my babies and when I go up and down the stairs hehehe

I think my mind is more active than my body. I started a new business in 2006 and have been struggling for its survival on top of helping hubby with anything I can come up with. daily house chores are usually cleaning kitchen and bathroom and a bit of the living room and the shop. I only clean the entire house every week. so on average I spend maybe 3 hrs a day to do it. We don't have kids but we have long haired cat and I have allergy so cleaning is a must in certain areas. I don't travel much aside from grocery, we are living in a tight budget especially in this economy.

I will show you inactice. In my geography class I will be inactive in such a way that my friend had to slap me several times just to keep me awake. How is that for inactiveness ?ha. The teacher explains in such a way that my half of my class sleeps. The best part is that she gives complete permission to sleep.
