The abuse of many chat sites.

i had seen and experienced a lot of those on chat sites..when someone out of nowhere send you a private message trying to get to know more about you and all of a sudden their taking it to next level into something mature level! most of the time i wonder does this people ever thought that not all of the chatters are on proper age to talk about that matter..i even had this people who keeps on sending me invites from their webcams..when it was my first time with chatting i happen to get curious and opened the cam and for heavens sake all i saw was an old man jerking off!!! ugh! i remember so well i immediately closed the cam and curse so much...i worry about the young ones who doesn't know anything about this..it is harmful for them...

Chat rooms arent the same anymore, between the bots & perverts, it is always like that. Its horrible because everyone you go into it seems has these thing! Its not fair to those of us who would just like a friendly chat.

Hi, I use to log in chat rooms of Yahoo few years ago, not any more. To be honest on things i had horrible experiances. Being an Asian i have faced tremendous racist comments specially from people of UK and some American people. I remember they called people from the sub continent of Asia as " Camel rider ". Well that proves their IQ level. IAm not trying to be mean or racist here, but iam sharing what i have gone through. As a teenager it was tough as they use to single me out and attack, lol. Actually they were a bunch of losers trying to take out their frustrations of life on some one else. On the better side i have made few very good friends too. I still have some very good friends in my yahoo messenger list and i catch up with them on weekends. Well my sole intention to be in a chat room was to to have a good time and to know whats happening all artound the world just like here in mylot. Cheers, Tutul

I hate chat rooms and chatting with unknown people.We may not know his or her true identity and its dangerous to develop a friendship in a chat room.So it is utter waste of time chatting and it is very difficult to find a true friend in chat rooms.When we enter in a female id the pc screen will be flooded with only message windows and we may not even be able to close all the messages.But all the messages will be only rubbish.It is difficult to find a person with decent chat.So I never enter chat rooms.Thanks for sharing.happy mylotting.

Chat sites can be a wonderful thing. I've met a lot of people and friendships have been grown from them; however you're always going to get those people that in the right places for the wrong reasons. I like yahoo chat rooms. Been there on and off for years, but the people that go in there can grate on you. I try to stop some of them even before it starts. I put a really ugly person on my profile or have a statement that I'm not interested. When a persistant person comes on and all else fails I just tell them I'm not into stupid. They get offended, I have no idea why, and then they pretty much leave me alone. In the cyber world you're always going to get people that are like that. They either pry on you because they're a sad sack or they're just angry at another gender period. I know most of my harrassment comes from men in the middle east. Sorry to say, but it's true. I think part of that is they have such a warped image of who woman are. I'm not saying to start insults flying here, but what I'm saying comes from first hand experience here and those of the friends that I've made online.

Hello ypu are quite right, often happened to me. I used to do some chat only friendship, but then I found that people often went further, making it often very intrusive. This is one reason why I have never used facebook, because I want much to my privacy.

I don't do chat rooms anymore because of the people that want to take it further way out number those of us that don't want to go further than just being friends and chating. I just go to sites of friends and stay with that and of curse the lot.

Hi cream dear! I haven't really joined any chat sites so I haven't experienced what you have experienced my friend. However, I have heard the same thing with my other friends who have complained that there were some men who were really flirting with them and even if they will politely say that they are not looking for relationships, these men will still be so persistent to hook up with them. Well, I don't think I've ever been to any chat sites anymore since like maybe 10 years ago when IRC was the "in" thing!~ I do agree with you sometimes there are a lot of rude people around, don't mind me being blunt - some are moronic!~ HahaDue to the nickname I use many can't really figure out whether I'm a male / female if they don't know me so I think you get the picture where the conversations might lead to. Sometimes we reply out of courtesy but sometimes they are just too much. That's why I only add friend & reply to friends only!~

We should all learn from the experiences of others and not necessarily experience something like these ourselves. We should choose wisely the chat sites we enter so that we won't be harmed.

yeah guys.. lol. most guys are like that for some dumb reason. i guess some of them think just because you might say something that means you want to hook up. but us men (see the different men and guy) i know i often will be on line and in a chat room and some female is like asking me to hook up or cyber with them i like when they asked me to cyber with them, i always asked them where do i put it? how does it work. lol but its ashame people but mainly females cant get on here and chatt and enjoy themself without some dude trying to hook up

Usually if that happens in the chat rooms that I go to we simply tell the person that this is not a pick up room and if he starts getting really rude he is bounced or banned from that room. Yeah I got bad experiences too with these chat sites. I say sorry you hit the wrong girl. I dont go to these chat sites anymore. There's just too many annoying freaks out there. I only chat with people Ive learned to know, I dont give out my chat id right away. If you encounter these people, just ignore them totally... they would stop and try to hit on other people, the unsuspecting victims...

I hate such chats, infact if you enter nay chat room most people are simply there just to tal nonsense and at times I feel there should be a moderator there banishing such sleezy people from there. I have hardly met a decent person online they all seem eager to pick you up for the night. So many webcam viewing rquests pop up to now I genrally chat with my friends and family only and avoid chat rooms open to public.

I know what you mean. I usually just ignore them and keep doing the thing that I'm doing. I hate those messages too.

Ya i has happened with me as well infact i used to be in yahoo chat and i did happened to me alot of time so i started avoiding such chat sites after that.....

Perhaps you should respond to them with something like "If you are looking for a relationship, go to a dating site". There are plenty of people on line who can "stalk" you. Just be firm and block them, if possible.

yeAh!!i already encounter that online.In my country which is Philippines their so many issues last month.about the girl who meet her chatmate. That girl is only 16yrs old she really trust at all her chatmate so she come with him in the house after a short conversation her chatmate made a drink for them.she feels sleepy when she drank the juice then the girl was raped and killed by the guy. her body was found near at the creek that is bloody.

Hi i have found that some mylotters are more interested in knowing about the male or female . I dont understand why they are interested so much and mylot is not a chatting site . Its their wish if their ant to reveal or not .
