Which of Your Five Senses Would You Miss the Most

I was reading an article today written by a fellow blogger, "The Eyes Have It" http://miamilf.blogspot.com/2009/03/eyes-have-it.html, and she stated that out of all the senses, that we rely most heavily on sight; flirt, attract, look into the soul, drive, etc., but out of all the senses, I think I would shrivel up and die if I could never again feel another person's touch. Out of all the senses, which one could you NOT live without, and why?

I would miss my sight the most. There are many things that I hear that I could do without and many things that I say that the world could do without. Food tastes better with smell but I could do without it and touch while extreamly important, could be made up for in other ways. But to not see. To not be able to read, see the sun set, my nieces and nephews, my husband's face, that would be the hardest for me.

A sunrise and sunset is one of my most favorite things, that along with water. It would be horrible to never see either again. How about a smile? So many things.

My gut reaction too was sight but then I thought about all the senses and I have to agree with you. I think I would consider myself disabled if I couldn't feel another human being's touch. There is nothing like a hug when you are feeling down, a pat on the back when you have done a good job, a kiss from your husband at the end of the day, the touch of a baby's hands on your face just because...

Sight, touch and hearing would all be hard. We all forgot about s*x also. Hmm

It's a toss up between sight and touch. If I couldn't see, I probably wouldn't be able to drive my power wheelchair very well which would severely limit my independent mobility. That would be hard to give up. However, I like the feel of things especially my cat and the inside of someone's palm. I really hope I never have to make this choice. Good discussion by the way.

I couldn't live without sight. The world is pretty boring if all you see is black.. And there isn't any point in traveling if you cannot see anything!

There certainly would be so much to miss out on without sight, you are right, and it would be hard to live in darkness all the time.

For me it would be a toss up between sight and hearing. I don't know if I could handle never hearing music again, I love music so much. Not being able to hear your children... that would be tough. It would also be hard to not be able to see them grow up.

Aw, the sound of a child and music, however, both are music. That would be tough.
