I vow to use mine on my paydays for now on LOL. Those days are crazy for me and because of this I used to always get fast food...well last payday I threw a huge chunk of beef in with loads of diced onions, buoilon cubes and mixed veggies....and wahla when i got home all I had to do was make a salad and toast some french bread.....
I stopped using mine for awhile, but I think I am back baby!
How about you?

Hi taface, I use the crock pot once in a while only. When I don’t have sufficient time to prepare meal, I would prepare soup with some chinese herbs, mushrooms and chicken. After it is boiled in another pot on the stove for twenty minutes or so, I then would pour it into the crock pot and let it to continue boiling there. I don’t have to worry whether the soup would be over cooked and become charred. I then turn on the low button and leave it there.
I normally would prepare soup or porridge before going to bed or to the office. It is quite convenient to cook with slow cooker when I don’t have spare time to prepare meal.
Happy posting and have a nice day.

I don't use mine very often, but I should probably figure out some good crock pot meals for the future. Not only are they easier, but they will also make it harder for me to go out to eat. I am a go out to eat junkie, mostly because I just hate cooking. Must find slow cooker recipes...

About once a week, I get the night off from cooking and we all agree what goes in the cauldron.

I only started using my slow cooker past this Monday that's because after such a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time I finally got a slow cooker. My husband bought it for me for our wedding anniversary. So the first thing I cooked was corn soup. Normally I use a 2L pot to cook soup but this time round I used the slow cooker. I just love the convenience of the slow cooker. Just put everything inside and leave it there for a few hours and it's ready to be eaten. And to add, the goodness and sweetness of the corn and carrot that I put in all went into the soup so the soup was very tasty. I'll be looking up for more slow cooker recipes and using it often. by the way my husband got the slow cooker at a very cheap price from TESCO. It's TESCO brand and we had a voucher some more so more cheap - it was a good buy and I am a happy woman !!! LOL!!!

I use the crockpot at least once a week - it's the most convenient and cleanest way of cooking. I often cook soups, stews and curries - and like you say, dump all the ingredients in and after 4-5 hours, everything is nice and ready!

I have not used mine in awhile, but I am actually using it today. The boys have baseball practice at 6. I am cooking butter beans and sausage, with onions. When we get home we will just cook some rice, and dinner will be done. Now that baseball has kicked back in, I will be using it more.

I used to use the crock pot every Sunday. I'd call the day "Crock Pot Sunday" and I'd make sure that the food would be ready before a favorite show came on. That way I'd have something to eat while watching the show. After awhile though, I slowed down using the crock pot and now it's every few months. I never stopped using one because special occasions tend to call for one, and sometimes I just want to dump stuff in a pot and cook it.

I love using my crock pot and use it as often as possible. I do like to cook, but I do not like to come home and cook after I have worked all day. It is also much easier to throw everything in the crock pot in the morning and let it simmer all day. I don't know...for some reason, the food seems to taste better that way. Yummy!

I started mine this morning around 9am. I threw in a huge pork roast with some red potatoes, carrots, stock, butter, and some onions. Have some running around to do later and have to take the oldest to the dentist right after school so this was when we get home its all done.
I usually use mine when I know I have stuff to do throughout the day. Otherwise I use it if I just dont feel like standing in the kitchen and cooking. Depends on my day.

I love to use my crockpot. I use it almost every Sunday, so lunch will be ready when we get home from church. I also like to use it other days when we are busy so supper won't be late. It is great like you said to just come home and the main part of supper is ready, just heat some bread and maybe a veggie.

I think maybe I should dig mine out and start using it. I bought it about 5 years ago or more, and have only used it once or twice. It sits stored down in a bottom cupboard and just doesnt get used. What a shame, I think I will dig it out and learn how to use it again.
