I have been married for 5 months. It's not that long but my personal opinion on keeping a marriage together is really staying in good communication with your spouse. As long as you both are really speaking and listening to eachother to make agreements and goals you'll never go wrong.

I've been married almost 30 years. Both of us have had to do a lot of growing and changing during that time in order to build our marriage instead of letting it fall apart. We've had bad times along with the good, and some really rocky places to get over, but in the end we found ourselves happy that we're approaching old age still together.

I have been married for 2.5 years. I think negotiations are a big thing lol! also knowing what you're in for before you get married. You have to know who's doing what and what the other person is about. You have to love your partner unconditionally and be on the same page/level when it comes to children, discipline, religion (or acceptance of differences), habits etc.

We had our silver jubilee (25 years) last July. Trust, love, understanding and being true to each other have strenghtened the bonds between us. I have never touched another woman sexually once I married my one and only wife, and neither has she ever touched another man sexually. The cement for the relationships - our three kids, two of whom are adults today.

I've been married for 36 years. The key factor to staying together is the determination to stay together no matter what! and to remember in the bad times that you really love this person, even if right at this moment, you might not like them very much! And I think my husband is a saint and willing to put up with a lot! LOL
