Yes it has a relation of coffee. Why? It goes like this; Cafe is an eatery, a cafeteria. We know pretty sure what's in cafeteria, food to eat including beverages that includes coffee.
Mostly in an internet cafe they serve no coffee. Sometimes I drink my coffee during my computer jobs...thanks

I've never been in an Internet cafe.
*
My three computers sit at home with my shut-in person, where I run a private 'network', (a wireless router) and I get my coffee out of my coffee pot.
*
I wouldn't know where an Internet cafe in my town is, although there are a few wireless signals about if someone was inclined to 'war drive'. "War driving" is tossing a laptop into a car and stealing wi-fi off other people illegally.

Historically, whenever coffee has been introduced into a society, it was initially available only in restaurants or taverns. As it 'caught on' individuals would buy the necessary equipment to make it at home. I believe that theword cafe is French for coffee, in fact. Cafe au lait is coffee with milk, cafe noir is coffee without milk.
Internet and coffee go together like chocolate and ummm..more chocolate. It is the perfect drink for consuming while browsing the net. In my area, we have internet cafes incorporated into many media outlets, like book or music stores. The one closest to me, there are even free refills on the coffee. You can bring your laptop and browse all day for the price of one cup of coffee.

Thanks so much for the BR! I don't want you to feel bad, but every time I'm at our local internet cafe, there are probably 9 ladies to every man...and living in a college town, they're in the 18-25 age range. . I don't have a laptop either, but once in a while I'm able to borrow one.

Do you really get high from the internet experience itself?

This is puzzling isn't it? They call it internet cafe but no coffee in sight. Why did they use that 'cafe' when they don't serve coffee? I have never patronize these internet cafe so wouldn't know the working of these places.

I barely go to internet cafe because I have my DSL and laptop at home. However, when I get to go to such place to kill time, would say most of them serve coffee and some desserts and pastries. In Manila, there are definitely more cafes' that should serve beverages and food since people are always busy with their work and wouldn't have much time to do buy food. In my case, I'm not fond of coffee, so frap would do, goes well while I do the surfing... Plus the great ambiance... Coffee shop and internet cafe in 1...

I sometimes drink coffee when I'm in an internet café, but at times there are internet shops that don't serve drinks.

I have never been in an internet cafe. I have seen them on television, but never in real life. But, I know how I am at home, and I would probably be drinking coffee while on-line. I do it at home, so it would seem reasonable that I would do it in an internet cafe. I do think that the word "cafe" refers to a coffee shop, but that's not something I am 100% sure of.

Hello modstar! Most of the internet cafe here in Davao doesn't serve coffee. I was one of those students who were at the internet cafe most of the time and the cafe I've been to are purely internet. But because we have our own computer now, I rarely go there so maybe there are changes there now.

To be honest, I never ever order anything in an internet cafe. I don't know, I'm just not comfortable enough I guess. Besides I prefer going to starbucks, buy my fave frapuccino, sit back and take advantage of their free wifi. I could stay there for hours
