My grandfather is ninety years old,he is a firm believer in Chinese medicine because all his illness was cured with Chinese medicine. He often tell me:
you don't medicine, you need advice, don't work so hard.Too much work is bad for you.Don't worry about your work. It's silly to worry.Take regular exercise.
So,every moring, rain and shine,I job for 30 minutes. My wife has not been in every good shape, and she has taken up tennis to get fit.

Anything done in excess is bad. Moderation is always the best. Your grandpa is right working too much is not good as it will drain you. All work and no play will not only exhaust you but will make you dull as well. Working is good but it should be just enough. To keep fit, we must also watch out if we are eating excessively beyond what our body really needs. We must not indulge in unhealthy stuff but eat more veggies and fruits rather than the fatty, the sweets, the carbs, the junks. We must also engage in regular exercise. It is good that you re into regular exercise. That will help you in keeping fit. Keep it up.

Eating healthy is all good and well but I think the main source of staying healthy is physical fitness and staying active. I have always had an outdoor active type of job and I also work out regularly although I don't do as much cardio vascular excercise as much as I should.
I have found that this type of lifestyle has kept me fit and trim at 165 pounds for years. As a matter of fact I have actually tried to gain weight unsuccessfully for years until now. I have wanted to get to about 180 but I am only 170 now.
Because of my exercise and outdoor work, I believe it has kept me from getting sick because I rarely get a cold or flu.
I played tennis in high school but have given it up now although I really enjoyed it. I mainly work out with weights and push-ups, eetc. I plan to start jogging maybe. If you can go swimming regularly somewhere that would be an excellent way to stay in shape. I think exercise is the most important ingredient for staying healthy.

Your grandfather has reached an age where most people find it difficult to be there. I am not surprise as he is a strong believer of the ancient chinese medication which are pure and side effects are less known compared to the modern day medications. Many people are dying prematurely nowadays because of ill health as a result of unhealthy diets and lack of exercise. I think it is vital that we care for our own health by taking care of our diets and exercise more.

It is great for your grandfather to be healthy. I also think that too much work is bad for a person as it can wear and tear a person as well as brings lots of stress in a person's life. Taking regular exercise is one of the good thing to do. Most of the people including me has lots of worries. If a person does not worry about anything he will be healthy throughout his life. A good mind is the secret of good body.

I try to keep a positive outlook on things. I think being stressed out and upset all the time has a huge effect on your body. Since I'm going through some VERY tough times right now I try to find a little something that makes me happy every day. I've been losing a lot of weight due to the stress in my life, which even though I need to lose weight, I don't think it's best to lose it in this way. So, trying to stay positive is my #1 health goal right now. Oh, I also eat a lot of grapes! Haha, I have dizzy spells from the stress a lot and I find that eating frozen grapes has helped with the dizziness.

Staying healthy would be a combination of 3 things in my opinion. Firstly, it would be what you eat, secondly would be you're everyday life, do you go walks or to the gym etc and thirdly would be more of a mental thing, to do with the mind, if you're not focused in the mind then you won't succeed.
