So as we all know, the Twilight movie comes out on dvd tomorrow! 3/21 How many of you are going out to buy it? Is anyone going out for midnight premiers or parties? Walmart, in select locations, is having a Twilight party at 11pm and then the movie comes out at Midnight. I'm going to stop by Walmart and just see what's happening! Apparently there are prizes and giveaways!! I may not buy the video just yet though. I'm thinking about waiting a month or so until the prices goes down.
So what about you?

That's a wise move, Jennlk. You should wait a little as the price will surely go down. I just wish I could convince my daughter to do the same. She's been looking forward to this day and have already made plans. I guess we're going to buy it today (It's already March 21, 10:14am here in my area). I don't want to disappoint her.
Thanks and Happy weekend!

wow! Where are you from? It's 12 hours different here. I'm in the Northeastern U.S. It's 10:20pm here. About your daughter - I'll bet she's excited! Kids and even teens have a harder time waiting for something they really want. You're a nice mom letting her go out and get it on the day it's released :-)

Thanks for accepting my friend request too. Have a great night!

I would be surprised if you can get anything second hand, I usually buy books secondhand (ebay, amazon, or used stores) and basically people are keeping their copies of Twilight and the rest of the saga. I imagine it will be like that with the dvd as well, plus everybody wants the special edition and extras.

Well i know if you wait a few weeks, if you buy stuff off the internet, check half.com. You can get it cheap off there. that's where i buy all my games and movies.

I preordered mine and got it at a bookstore at a midnite release party. I watched it as soon as I got home. I think y mom ordered me a copy too so ill have two copies. I don't think I'll give up either one of them. This has become a pop-culture phenomenom. I love the movie and the book.

It was good! There were only about 60 or 70 people there, but several stores in the area were having parties so that was okay. After midnight, all the movies were handed out pretty quickly, so I got outta there pretty fast. I had fun.

I'm planning on getting it next month when my next check gets in. I've read all the books and loved them even though they are for young adults. I liked the book better though. I'm buying it mainly for my oldest- that will be something she can watch when she has friends over.

I won't be buying it either. I will be buying Marlie and Me. I like to buy funny movies and even some cartoon movies, but I don't like the more scary movies.

There are some places where it's actually cheaper if you preorder and buy it the day it's released, or at least in the first week. A very sweet friend actually is sending it to me, if he sees this post I hope he doesn't mind that I said something.
I have a friend whose daughter is attending one of the parties, it sounds like fun but I'm too tired to be in public cheering lol.

Blessed by Amazon pre-order! I got the 2-disc special edition for $18. Of course I didn't decide to order it until Thursday so it won't be here until Monday but it was still cheaper than anywhere else.

I so want this movie, but will probably wait until my husband gets paid next. Which is next Friday. The price may not go down for a while as it is a popular movie. Hope you can get it soon!

I got my twilight DVD Limited edition yesterday. Together with the free huge poster. I was really so excited to browse it. I took some pictures of it and upload it in my facebook. Extended and Deleted scenes are great! I am so happy seeing those. One thing is for sure I will suppost this series / sage to the end. Such a great movie!

I think I have better things to spend my money on than vampire movies. I did like Moonlight when it was a drama on TV.. that was a good vampire that was also a cop. I'm going to get the movie Marlie and Me. I like happy movies; I don't like scary stuff too much.

"Twilight" isn't scary. It's about a human falling in love with a vampire that only drinks animal blood. It is a happy movie. The "dad" vampire is even a doctor. There are some babd vampires after the girl, but that's just for the action/climax. Take a chance. Rent it. If you don't like it, you can always return it.
BTW I liked "Marley and Me" too. It made me laugh and cry.

My sister wanted to go at midnight and get it so we did. We went to walmart. We didn't know about the numbers and prizes, but did get the dvd. We live in a VERY rural area and we were curious about how many people would be there and stuff and how crazy it would be. Well, even in our tiny little area, there were probably like 100+ people. I wasn't expecting that many. Some of the girls near us, said they had been there since 8 PM waiting. I thought that was a bit crazy. lol. I also heard that they ran out of numbers by 9:30 that night.
