it really depends what kind of second hand items we want to buy.For clothes, most likely i will not buy it second hand.My experience of buying a second hand item is the netbook that i am using now and it's working fine since i brought it.

if I can get what I want in good condition for a good price, then I will. it's good for my finances and it's good for the environment. why throw things away if someone else can make use of them? why get something new if there's one in good condition that someone else no longer wants?

For me, it would really depend on the item. Because when you buy something second hand you never know what you are really buying even when it comes to Furniture as how clean is the item really, and some of the places like Thrift stores charge a lot on this type of things as well. I know that seldom will I shop somewhere like here. I will usually try to find someone personally selling or giving something away first and then go from there.

I don't think I would buy something like a sofa second hand. If people smoked then it would take a while to get that smell out and no telling whatelse they did on that thing. Then if they had pets they could have fleas in there or pet hair all over it not to mention the pee from the pets thats been wiped clean from the surface. Same goes for a mattress. I would rather sleep or sit on the floor. Now as far as clothes I do go to second hand stores and purchase some clothes. As soon as I get home those go in the washing machine. I wanted to go this weekend but we were too busy. My daughter needs some play clothes and thats the best place to get things for her to play in really cheap. I also want to start making her pillowcase dresses.

Ninety-nine percent of my stuff is second hand. I buy nearly anything second hand. I have found big name designer clothes that I get for a couple of bucks. I just bought a used car that would have cost me $15,000 for $3,000. About the only thing I buy new is under ware and shoes. I will buy a new television soon. I want one of the new flat ones, and I am going to buy a new laptop (I always buy my laptops new so I can get an extended guarantee with it. The extended guarantee pays for itself the first time I need to take the computer into the shop!) With the money I save I can afford to get other things that are needed. Especially since I am remodeling my home and that takes quite a bit of money.

I have no problem buying second hand items. Of course I get them all off ebay. I always check the feed back to see if the seller has any complaints from other buyers. This pas week I purchased 2 cell phones for a cheap price from 2 different people. I checked other seller that were selling the same item and a few of them had too many complaints against them so I didn't buy from them. Even though they were selling the items I wanted for a cheaper price, I didn't want to risk buying the phone and have it not work or not being in the condition the way it was described by the seller. This was the 1st time this year I also purchased used clothing from ebay. I got some very nice sweaters at very low prices. Only 1 sweater I ordered didn't fit the way I liked, so I wil not be buying any more used clothing anytime soon. But I still made out pretty nicely with 5 swetaers for under $80. Used items is a great way to save money and I have no problem buying as long as they are in good condition and working properly.

I definitely buy second-hand things, as well as sell some of my things that I no longer need. It is a good way to reduce clutter and to keep things that are useful out of landfills. One man's trash is another man's treasure.

not all the things but only things which can be accepted as second hand like electronics, vehicles, furnitures, books etc... but not cloths or utensils.
