As you know the White House has opened up for questions we folks can ask President Obama...did you do YOUR part cause I did and asked my own question.
You had your chance to ask here
http://www.whitehouse.gov/
{Warning: NOT a referral link but a link to ask President Obama your questions}
What was my question? At risk at being bashed here goes....you do have a limit of how many words one can use..so wasn't too detailed the way I would have liked to have been...so here was my question:
"I belong to a discussion forum which has placed very negative thoughts. I don't believe what they say as they seem to think we need to stockpile on food and ammo since they seem to think we're going to be under riots due to the negative economy"
pyewackete, Elmhurst, NY - Financial Stability
So WHAT WOULD YOUR QUESTION BE??
No I DON'T think Obama is some kind of messiah...but I can't help thinking that there are too many alarmist of what is going on and a bit too drastic. Since I'm a believer of Law of Attraction....I can't help think by all this negative thinking we're only contributing more to the negative attitudes of this country to being near ridiculous and we could actually contribute to the negativity in our country. Sorry, folks but that is my attitude.
Remember what Mother Teresa once said about taking part in a anti-war rally she said...
I was once asked why I don't participate in anti-war demonstrations. I said that I will never do that, but as soon as you have a pro-peace rally, I'll be there.
Mother Teresa - War - Peace

So for all those who have negative ideas of what Obama is doing...did you put you money where your mouth is and at least asked your question....????? I did.

Hey I'm putting myself in danger too...as no doubt they tracked my question. In fact, one of the terms of agreement was that they would be aware of my IP address...so I'm just in much as in danger as anything.

Well... you know... it is not only the forum...
It is all over the mondial news.
Eastern Europe is going balistic as their countries are facing bankrupcies. And they want a piece of Obama and its policies.
Obama is throwing money at the problem...
But do you know where that money is coming from?
There is no money. Where does it come from?
I'll tell you...
They are printing new money to make up for the artificial money which was lost.
This is what happened.
People wanted to buy a $200.000 house.
The bank told them... "No problem" and lended the $200.000
So everyone went out to buy a house.
This created a shortage of houses.
So the $200.000 house increased in value to $250.000
But the bank continued to lend money
And so people went to buy the $250.000 house.
Then there was a glitch and the economy crashed.
Not only people were not buying houses anymore
But people could not repay their mortgage.
Price of houses tumbled down from $250.000 to $180.000
Even after the bank repossessed the house
They could only sell it for $180.000 and lost $70.000 on the deal.
The rescue package from the government is to make up for those $70.000
$250.000 was an artificial value base on supply and demand created by the banks when they lended money willy nelly.
And where do the banks get their money from?
From investors... big a small.
So if the banks go bankrupt... so does all the investors.
We are not only talking about millionnaire investors.
Most of the money come from ordinary citizen with $5000.00 in a saving account.
My question for Obama would be...
Why did you run for President when you must have know that you would inherit an economy left in ruin by George Bush... and people would blame you for not having a quick fix.
My question for the American people...
You always supported George Bush no matter what he did.
You were always flying the patriotic flag.
But with Obama... you did not even gave him a week in the job before you started attacking him. A cynical person like me... would be entitled to think that your reasons for doing so are less than honorable.

Hey Matey who or what in hell gives you the right to judge anything I do or say regarding MY country as less than honorable? I am very sure you would not like some Yank telling you that you were less than honorable.

I think if Socialism is in violation of your constitution...
Your constitution cannot be very democratic.
As for judging you... I don't judge. It is only my opinion. And this is what forums are for.

The LDS Church (Mormons) have advised ALL of their members to stockpile supplies and food to last a year. The problem that I see is that what will happen when your neighbor runs out and discovers that you haven't? It iis not going to be pretty toward the end of this year and the beginning of next year.

No I didn't ask a question as until just now ....didn't even know about this. I have been so busy with moving and packing and all that to be honest...haven't even paid a bit of attention lately. I am with you though. The negativity is huge and something that I am staying clear of unless there real cause for it. I want to believe that Obama's intent is good. If one assumes that he means well, then they will be more constructive in their critisism. To just put him down is pointless and will only serve to spread the negativity as you mentioned. A smile is contagious. So is a frown.

It would be great if we could ask questions to the President on a regular basis don't you think?

I did not ask a question. However, I'm here to say that I really like your attitude as it aligns with Mother Theresa's -- going PRO pease, not ANTI. Also, like you say, the law of attraction is going to bring more of what you're feeding into it. If it's negativity, the law will fulfill it -- likewise, if it's positive. Thank you for this thought-provoking discussion!

Thanks joyceshookery. I think in general there's been a very negative "mood" in America for a long time and not just recently. Of course being bombarded with the negativity of the media doesn't help, which is probably one of the reasons I really don't watch much news. Also I think many are of the mind-set that they expect negativity in news, if the media actually reported all the positives in the world it's be out of business.

Hi , Pye, I did not know about this in time. I did not submit a question. I would ask the president ,what rights will not be taken away, AND COULD WE HAVE THAT IN WRITING ? Just a simple question, with so much changing so fast and so many new bills and new laws that are in coming. It is almost impossible to keep up on it all.

One of our rights that could be taken away is if the HR-875 bill is passed. Supposedly it would regulate our food supply for safety reasons, but the reality is that it could severely affect organic farmers, small family farms, farmers markets...I wrote emails to my senators and congressman to oppose this bill...
Check this video out...it's all about this bill

I have done it from the beginning, from before he was president, to now. I have a variety of questions and suggestions. I am loving that he wants to hear from us and not just our congress, and other legislators.
Too many people who complain do absolutely nothing about it. They sit, complain, sit, complain and do....POOP!!It is OUR government and we have a right to speak. FINALLY! A president who wants to hear!

Thanks for the link, no, I have not asked a question yet, but I intend to. I am sure alll questions will be looked at very carefully by the secret service. I am wondering whether Obama will actually see these questions or will they be turned over to his secretary, in order to give a generic response.

Mmmm....most likely and unfortunately, the questions will be viewed by his "staff" like all politicians. I often write letters/emails to various Senators, Congressmen and the like and while I'll get an answer, it's probably from a staff member
