I've Come To The Conclusion: Pet Owners Are A Tad Nuts~~LOL

I've just come to a realization here and maybe many of your mylotters have noticed a trend especially with those of us who are pet owners.
Have you ever gone to one of your friends profiles and lurk around their photos that they might have posted there?? Notice something odd? The oddity being there are usually MORE photos of a MyLotter's pet(s) than of themselves or other family members.
I went to one friend's profile and looked at her photos posted and there were five photos of her dog, and only one of her....at another friend's photo page there were four photos of her dog, and NONE of her or her family...then I had to do a check of my own page..(yikes I had forgotten what photos I had there)---I have a total of nineteen photos...a few show off my photography in general (nine)...two of me..and six of my cats from past and present..bottom line..there are more cat photos there then of me.
So...are fellow mylotters a tad nutty when it comes to their pets? Do you have more pet photos than ones of you or your family? Do you also share photos of your pets on other sites as well more than of you????

People who have no children... compensate by treating their pets like children.
Same goes with older people who have only their pet for company.
And yes... it is all a bit nutty.
Particulary when I see people feeding their dogs premium steak.

Mmm--I know quite a number of people that do have children, but still treat their pets like children as well. Okay this was quite awhile ago when my mother was still alive and we had a lot more cats. During Thanksgiving I could never get a turkey smaller than 19 pounds..why? Well guess who most of the turkey went to?

Now that Banjo is no longer allowed outdoors he has no friends to play with. I caught a live mouse in a trap and gave it to him and he was in 7th heaven. When the time came to devour his new friend did he have to do it under my chair making all the appreciative noises while he crunched bones?
Looking at these responses ...yes Pye...we are all crazy in the coconut.

Guilty as charged! LOL! My cats are very well known on pretty much every site that I'm a member of. I get in so much trouble with friends if I forget to post photos of myself. So yeah.....I think you're right....us pet owners are most definitely nuts!

Yep, crazy pet owner here. I even carry photos of my pets in my wallet. I have more pictures on my facebook of my cats then anyone else (although before my husband left, I had quite a few of him up there too). I think people would rather see my cats then me. lol. They are just so darn cute I can't help myself. Right now they are my only company and are like my kids, so I just go picture crazy with them.

I'm guilty as charged!! LOL Having 10 cats and 4 dogs, there's bound to be more of them than of me but that's ok because I'm not a vain person so I'm not one to sit around waiting for someone to take my picture besides, one is enough to break someone's computer screen!! LMBO! Speaking of which, I do need to add one of my dogs to my pictures, he's just a wee baby still, a german shepherd that we named Toby. lol

I wouldn't change a thing either!! lol Sassy is doing great! She's a frisky little thing! I mean frisky and little in the best of ways. She's so petite but loves to run and climb trees way up high or even my clothes line! She's hilarious and makes me laugh a lot! She's a real joy to have around! You should hear her meow, it's so lady like, very high pitched but very soft. Even hubby says she's very feminine when she wants to be. For him to notice that really says something about her! lol

Yes I would agree with you, all pet owners are a little nutty when it comes to their little furry friends. The first two photos I put up on myLot was our cat Wilde.
Sometimes it can be hard not to take pictures of the pets as they are so cute and you never know what kind of pose they will have next

Probably I don't keep with the trend on this site, but I can recognize many members by pet's pictures only. I keep my pets pictures all over the house. yes, I have far more pictures of my pets than any family members.

Hello Sweets
I do have pics of pets on my profile.
I think many are more comfortable with
not showing too much of the people
in their lives.
I do have loads of pics of my family/pets
on myspace page www.myspace.com/raydenel
if you want go look at them.

I often ASK friend request if I happen to come across someone's avatar and it's a kitty one..then look at their profile page. If they have photos of their furbabies then figure they're A-OK

Pets often image their owner. The late Winston Churchill's bulldog was as handsome as the Prime Minister of Great Briton. A neighbor has a dear little beagle cross. Short legged, with black, brown, and white markings. His wife is crippled, and quite a handful. She doesn't know he smokes, while walking the dog, but he has very few other interests. His dog is his life, and the only thing he has going for himself.

Yes I've often heard that people seem to resemble their pets. Sorry to hear about your neighbor's wife. Since he seems to have his hands full taking care of her, I guess his dog is a form of "therapy" for him and a good excuse to get out of the home for awhile

Hey pye! I still don't have a camera so I don't have any pictures
at all. But, if I did have a camera there would be nothing but
pictures of my cats of course! Everyone would be so tired of
seeing all my pictures of Star & Luna! And by the way, that is
a beautiful picture of you! I had never seen one on your
profile page here. I had seen it on your website. You look
reallly pretty in it! I don't know if I will ever get a camera
and if I do I wonder if I will ever be able to figure out how
to use it and the how to post the pictures! I really want a
camera so bad!

Too bad you don't have a camera I would LOVE to see photos of Star and Luna. I still use my old film camera but would love to get a digital one but the kind I would like ..that is a Nikon DSLR is way out of my league to get. Aww...thanks for the compliment--that was a self-portrait of me taken a few years ago.

Hi Pye~Darlin: Yeah you know I have more of my pets than I do of myself; I hate my picture to be taken and the one I have of myself is VERY OLD..(g)!
I love my pets past and present, you should see my house, I have pet photo's all over the place, kinda like a Memorial Wall and its growing let me tell ya!!
So yeah on any website or social place I always have pics of my pets or involve
them in my topics for discussions;
speaking of which as I sit here my Cat Screamer is asleep and snoring LOUDLY!!!
ROTFL! She is so funny when she snores!! LOLOL!!

First of all, I think my cats are cuter. Hey, I'm cute too but not as cute as them.
Second of all, I think the reason I aim the camera at the cat is they can't say, "Stop, don't take my picture. I haven't put my makeup on yet. I look too bloated for a picture. My face is broken out. Don't take a picture of me I just woke up." The little fur balls just sit there like they are taunting me to just snap away.
Third of all, who else can you get a picture of while they are cleaning their back end. No thank you, I don't want to know the answer to that question at all!

Hi! I have a few birds, I think that they are lovely, and they can sing along with me, that's good.
I don't treaten them as gods but I have a special care for them, they are my company and the joy of my life.
But I don't share pictures of them, at least on the web, with within my circle of friends maybe I can share.

lol, yes pye we all are nuts for our pets. I think I have an equal number of each.
I think it's great that you have all of your cats there it shows how much you care for them all. Just because they have left us doesn't mean they are loved any less. Perhaps we love them even more because we don't have the time to spend with them anymore. All we have are the precious memories and that keeps them with us.

Maybe it's just a matter of the simple fact that pets aren't that good at taking photos of their people...

Do you really want to see photos of people picking their noses, hopping on one foot while trying to put on their pants, scratching various body parts, sitting on the can... you know that's the kind of pics they'd take if they could.

holy sh!t !! I read this and said I can't have more of the puppers than I do for my family.. Then I saw that I have more photos of the puppy than my kids. wow I guess I'm included in the nut category. LOL!! But to be honest when I read the title I thought " You think" because I was just thinking that we would never wait hand and foot on anyone without good reason i. e. kids to young to take care of themselves, the sick and injured. But pets have it made if they get the right owners, like us who fawn over them and wait on them like we're there servants so I guess you have to be kinda nuts to have a pet ok in actuallity a family member that you devote yourself and time and money to..

Frost is a full blooded AKC siberian husky, I was thinking about showing him when he was younger but I'm not sure about that now I really don't have the money and I would need to get a trainer or someone to show him too.But he has it way made he sleeps whereever he wants and has a food bowl upstairs and downstairs and I fetch everything for him LOL!! I sometimes would love to trade places with my spoiled puppers.

Pet owners, by definition, are more than just a little bit left of centre. You have to be a bit crazy to allow yourself to be domesticated by an animal. I've also noticed that pet owners appear to have more pictures of the animals than they do of themselves or their family.
