Hey guys I'm just wondering what can I do to lose weight. I'm tired of being the "fat" kid in school so I want to trim some of it off. I mostly want to do exercise. Now for the main point what exercises (no machines) can I do to shed these pounds? I also have big trouble with motivation Any help with that?

yes its a problem of many of the people.just do a morning jog every day and by doing cycling you can reduce your weight by stoping the food which contains butter and other fat contents. If it is a heridety once visit a doctor

Hi, baconbits52! I understand what you're feeling right now with your body. Honestly, the only motivation will come from you. If you really want and determine to lose some weight, then you should have a discipline in yourself. Avoid eating extra sweets, fatty foods and etc. Walking is the best excercise if you don't have time and a bit stretching will help. In my case for example, I'm not that fat but I need to lessen the fat in my stomach so I'm using a herbal tea.*wink*

I would try drinking 2 cups of milk a day. I am not for sure sure that this works, but check out my web page about what studies have shown about milk weight loss. I have been conducting my own study of my belly fat loss and I have lost 2 inches off my belly in a week of doing the Milk diet, however, this could be a product of many factors. I will keep logging my progress if you want to check it out. http://www.squidoo.com/milkforweightloss Let me know what you think.

What you can do is get up early in the morning and do stretchings. After that you can try to jog for a couple of blocks if it's your first time. Do it everyday and it will definitely form as a habit. Also, you have to eat healthy and right.

Motivation is something you have to face on your own, unless you hire a trainer then he will push you till you drop the inches. The old adage that "anyone can lose weight" is absolutely true, but not everyone is motivated enough to do so. Those people who successfully lost weight have enough motivation and drive to scratch and claw their way to less fat and more muscles. You sad you're tired of being the "fat kid" in school? That's your motivation to lose weight, and keep it in your mind during all your workouts. As for tips, you should do 20 to 30 minutes cardio 4 or 5 times a week in the morning just before breakfast. It will make your metabolism faster and your body will burn calories more efficiently. Drink lots of WATER not sodas or any carbonated drinks. Then do weight training or resistance training in the evening. Finally target at least 7 hrs of sleep every night. Oh and cut down on the bacon, it helps a lot , Cheers!

Well, no one can give you motivation for you. You just have to grit your teeth & bare it. Or, make a list of the reasons you'd like to lose weight and get in shape. Instead of going on a diet, you should start slowly adapting how you eat: include more veggies, more LEAN meat (if you eat it, if not, even better!), SKIM milk rather than any other kind, and of course no pop or junk food. Water is a MUST - at LEAST 8 glasses a day or whatever that daily recommended amount is. And you should consider starting a walking or walking/running plan. Try to walk for at least 30 minutes a day, and when that's no longer a challenge for you, walk & run alternately for thirty minutes. That seems to work for me. You could also buy some free weights. Honestly, good luck, and TRY not to buy into the many scams online (and off) that say you'll lose "such and such" weight in "such and such" time. It's usually BS. There's no "magic pill" or diet out there that will make you healthy; it takes a lot of hard work: eating right & exercising daily. But you can do it - you just have to be committed to it. Good luck!

Yeah I know about those scams kind of stupid honestly them trying to get money off of people on a product that doesn't even work. Thank you for the advice xD

I think the kind of motivation you need is to see your classmates or friends or collegues being sexy or any hollywood stars, think that you to achieve this body. While exercising, you need some ipod on your ears so that you don't get bored.

Motivation?? That's easy.. Gals whom u find attractive, or someone u desire but u dun dare to approach just because u are a fat kid?? They shall be your main motivation.. lol =D There are many ways to kick start your exercise programme depending on how fat one is.. And since u wanna use your own body weight to shed those excess weights, try walking for the initial stage.. Try for about 1-2 weeks, walking 30mins-1hr a day.. Make sure u really sweat but dun make yourself pant as much.. After which, u can then increase your intensity to either fast walk with shorter time, or moderate pace at a longer distance ^_^ Once u see results, u can start some slow jogging.. If u are worried about the impact on your knees, take up swimming instead, or even cycling ^_^ As long as they are cardio exercises, all will be fine for u ^_^

There are alot of exercises you can do to lose weight without going to the gym. I also have to lose a bit of weight but paying the gym is not in my budget and I don't have time to go there. I do jumping jacks. It does sound silly but after a few min, I am already out of breath. You can also do set ups, jogging in your neighborhood for 15-20 min, and other stuff. You can also climb up the stairs in your house for a couple of times like from the basement to my bedroom. If you live in an appartment or don't have alot of stairs, avoid automatic stairs at school and elevators when you take the subway or at school. There's also a very cheap equipment you can buy which is the jumping rope. Along with that, bad eating habit should disappear. Like eating fast food however...you can also eat those if you make it homemade since there will be less fat. You can also suggest your parents to make steamed food which could be more healthy or you can bake almost everything into an oven. IF you like bacon, bake it in the oven instead and you will see all the fat that came out of it. On top of that, the bacon will be crispy. The same goes with other meat. Don't forget that you can still eat candies, cola and stuff but only with moderation but cutting them wouldn't be bad :P Eat only when you are hungry. goodluck dear and I hope you will get good results.

Dieting is not fun but if you are truly ready to lose weight that will give you the motivation to do it.. They sell a dvd called walk away the pounds and it is great.. you can do a 1 mile,2mile,or 3mile walk with Leslie Samsone.. I really enjoy working out to it. its not strenuous at all.. good luck to you.. I know how difficult it is to lose weight

Have you thought about what type of person you are? What are your likes and dislikes, your motivations? From personal experience, weight loss for me includes things that fit into what I am already doing or can do without severely disrupting my life. I find that little things help, such as a spoonful of vinegar in a full glass of water a couple of times a week or drinking plenty of water and grapefruit juice. Even walking my daughter to the school bus stop on school mornings helps, although it is only 50 to 100 feet away. It helps that I be realistic as well, that is a big motivator. I was never a size two and going on a diet to lose weight will not make me that small, especially from a healthy point of view. For example a woman gets up there and says how bad she feels because she has gained so much weight. Now she has gone from a size 8 to a size 2. I realize that is not me. It will never be me. That's okay. Its hard to find the right reasons, the true reasons to why you really want to lose weight. For me, I want to live to see my daughter grow up and do positive things with her life. Also, I am about 300 pounds and 29 years old. I need to lose this weight so I will be around and healthy altogether. One website that helps me is Sparkpeople.com If you have not tried it, it may help. I know its not easy but you are taking the first steps. Good luck and wishing you the best!

Do exercise every morning, basic exercise first. Then try to have self discipline,in terms of food know your limitations. Yes,you can do exercise with no any machines, like dancing, jogging, walking or having sports is the good one.And i recommend The After Six method,it means you cannot eat after six pm,just water.

To keep fit, i suggest you not to eat anything 2hours before you go to bed. Drink six cups of water at least. Keep away from M and so on. This may be the easy way you can do. Hope it will help you.

Yes you can lose weight without using machines. You need to decide what kind of exercise you like. Do you like to walk go for walks around the town do you like to dance you can rent or buy workout videos. The Biggest Loser workout video is a good one for those just starting to exercise so are the Sweatin to the Oldies videos. Do you like to swim, swimming burns lots of calories. The key to losing weight is to burn off more calories then you eat so you will need to count your calories too don't eat under 1200 calories a day though.

that is my problem also. many of people i know are advising me to stop to gain weight cause i am already too fat. i am not obese but i am almost there. so i better do some things that are drastic to stop this weight gain. i don't like gaining weight. i have known now how hard it is to be fat. i can't move my hips well without my legs scrubbing against each other skin. and i notice that my skin around my waist are getting darker because of the friction on my pants on my skin cause my pants are too small now my bigger waistline.

try simple exercises at first, like walking for at least 30 minutes, taking the stairs instead of using the elevator. cut on eating snacks, pork meat, cakes, ice creams, pizza, burgers, junk food. but if you really like a particular high in fat food, reward yourself by eating that fave food once in a while after not eating it for so many weeks. eat more vegetables and fish instead of meat. eat a heavy breakfast, light lunch and a lighter dinner. when you find the motivation, please let me know okay because i also lack motivation LOL =)

Hi, This is a common problem. You require a lot of commitment to lose weight. I will tell you the simplest 2 step process: 1. First is your eating habits. Stop eating junk food. 2. Second is exercise. Walk, walk and walk. Walk 10-15 Km per day. My best wishes are with you.
