Do You Cook At Home Or Eat Out ...?

I am wondering in this busy society today that we live in, how many of us do often cook at home and how many of us are eating-out most of the time. In fact for myself, most of my breakfast and lunch on weekdays I eat out. Most of my weekdays dinner I cook at home. And for weekends, most of my dinner I would eat out with my family and some home-cooked food during weekend lunch. How about you ?

I love cooking , it is cheaper, healthier, and more enjoyable. But after a hard day of work, I feel like cooking for myself is too much trouble. So I prefer to eat at a restaurant and go home for rest as quickly as possible.

I mostly cook at home. We will sometimes order something in about once a month, and we will go out to eat on birthdays and special occasions, but there is so much to do here in the house, that we really do not have time to eat out, nor can we afford to. Now even before I was married and at those infrequent times I had a job, I would only go to a restaurant about once a month and would order in once a week. But I loved to cook and I wanted to do it myself.

We mainly eat at home, as it's just too expensive to eat out. I have breakfast at home everyday, take lunch to work with me, and I cook most nights. We usually have take-away once every two weeks, and probably go out for dinner with friends on a weekend once a week. Everything else we either eat at home, or eat something we brought from home.

I do both but I tend to eat out more than I cook. I really don't like cooking but it is very expensive to continue to eat out all the time. I plan to start cooking more at home.

i cook because its cheaper better quality and i have the time as i work from home, really it doesn't take that much longer to cook a real meal and its always more gratifying in my mind, and plus I learn how to cook.

We don't eat out all that often but we do get pizza delivered once a week. Sometimes we order Chinese too. Pizza night is usually when the Biggest Loser is on, kind of ironic to sit there eating pizza while watching a show that revolves around people losing weight. We will hit Five Guys from time to time but its way too expensive to do that more than once a month.

i eat at home always when i don't go out. but when i go out i do like to eat outside cause i will not have the time to bring my own food. it will be hard to bring food at my work or wherever i go. anyways, i do eat many times in fast food. but now i am more health conscious i try to avoid eating out on those fast food. i rather eat on those food place that offers healthy foods.

yeah i easily gain weight if i eat burgers. even i don't eat that often i noticed that i easily get fat every time i eat like 3 or 2 times a burger a week cause it goes with fries and a soda. so those combination gives a big gain in my weight.

I used to take lots of fast food too especially McDonalds. But nowadays, I have cut down on that too. It's delicious though but bad for health.

I love cooking, but that doesn't mean I cook well lol. Now that I've moved to a new place where I can cook, I try to cook everyday. I enjoy it and it's much cheaper than eating out..

I've made it a habith to always have the most essential meal at home which is breakfast, so does the entire family. At work I am provided with a warm meal as most lunch is at work, however I try to stay away from too much starch and take fruits with me every day and have a light dinner either at work or at home since my husband cooks during the week, our daughter and him have dinner at home as by the time I arrive home it's too late to eat dinner. I do the cooking for the most part during the weekends, however Friday & Saturday night is our night out in town which means dining out and Sunday I spoil every one with a nice home cook meal.

I cook most of the time, but do eat out now and again. I like cooking and it is so much cheaper than eating out/getting food delivered.

I can understand in the busy society and schedule most of us get less time to cook food for themselves, every thing we do in hurry so as not be lag behind. For me i cook food for myself breakfast and dinner regularly but for lunch i eat out. Sometimes in weekend i eat out for dinner. But mostly i made my cooked food from home

That's wonderful. It's just that sometimes when we get back from from work and feel so tired and don't feel like cooking anymore. Then we just resort to eating out which is a easier solution.

We almost always eat at home. Once in a while we may eat lunch out but breakfast & dinner are mostly eaten at home. The only exception is if it is a special occasion or we have company. My husband works nights Sunday to Thursday so it is a bit impossible to eat out. Fridays we usually go food shopping & may bring something home for dinner. Saturdays are usually free for all, lol, we just eat what we want when we want then when we are watching movies at night we usually have snacks. Since there is just the 2 of us, cooking isn't really a problem, finding the money to eat out is.

in this busy society we have seldom time to cook at home, but we always cook at home, because we thought cooking at home is good at our health.but sometimes, we will eat out when we feel tired to cook.

I also have the same feel. Cause the reasons are Monday to Friday lunch or eat in the company. Only at home to eat supper.

It's good discipline you have to always cook at home. Home food is always better.

We would usually cook dinner and eat the leftover at breakfast :P. We don't have enough time to really prepare a proper meal in the morning as we are all working. During lunch, it's either a busy day or a lucky day. A busy day means no lunch but a lucky day means a lunch ordered from outside. I prefer home-cooked food though but we would sometimes treat ourselves during weekends in some fancy resto.

I usually eat in, I don't like to eat out, too many people, staying in line, putting up with the waiter - just awful.

my mom or i cook at home most nights. we ate out rarely ever and we have take out or fast food a couple times a month probably... most times tho we cook our food. i like it that way too. i would rather cook my own food then go out or get fast food. this way i know whats in it and where its comed from and that it's clean. plus i can cook it how i want it and i just like food that i have cooked myself better.

Eat your own cooking at home is fun, but not a must. And ... too worried about hygiene / health is a 'disease'.

When my wife at home, she will cook for the dinner. My breakfast and lunch will eat out side with my working partners. Now for these few month, because my wife go back to her home town, so i have to eat out side daily, or do some easy cooking like noodles, oatmeal as my dinner.

I love cooking at home, however my two children who are working take their breakfast and all other meals out so my other daughter and I just buy cooked food for the two of us. During dinner however we cook at home sometimes if we miss our own cooked foods. For weekends however I cooked a lot as all my children are at home and we enjoy eating together. During weekdays me and my daughter thought of saving gas if buying cooked food and and no more waiting hours for food preparations and cooking. During pay days we seldom cook as the family eat out. I love cooking, however.

Cooked in their own home will not necessarily cheaper. If you live alone, may be cheaper to eat outside.
