My only granddaughter calls us Nana and Pop Pop. It was wonderful when she first did it and at 22 months, I still love it because when she first sees me she yells, "HI NANA!!!" It is a joy.
My daughter called us Nana and Pop Pop from the first day she was born. I assisted at my granddaughter's birth and when I first held her I said, "Hi, I am your Nana!" My daughter called me Nana from the start to her daughter.

My grandkids call me Nana and it is the biggest thrill in the world. My kids always refer to me as Nana when talking to their kids. I guess it is respect on their part. I have six grandkids from age 14 down to 5 and I love every minute of it.

I just turned 34 on the 9th. My oldest is 22 (step child from my first marriage but still mine) Last year he broke the news that I may be a grandmother. First I told him how insane I thought he was, then I offered up my support.
I can't wait to hear the words. It was a false alarm and I hope he takes his time before getting himself in a spot like that again, but I'll love it.
Enjoy it Grandpa!
