Hello everyone!!!
Well I started composing about more than 4 years ago. And from them, the quality of my compositions has increased very much both in the melody and the lyrics...At first when I started, I didn't know how to play any instrument, so I just went on without any music. But now recently I have learned playing guitar, atleast the rhythm and changing chords and also I can use them for my composition. I have pretty good knowledge about pitches and music that's why I can use guitar in composition so fast. And I am very very happy for this...
Do you compose along with listening to the music?

I've composed music for almost 8 years and am still trying to make it "big" I mostly write rock and pop songs. Singer-songwriter style and such. I did a piece for a friends movie once that was nice, this post reminded me of it. I should upload and link to it one day :)
Composing music for me is fun. It's a lyrical and emotional outlet, more so than just playing and singing other peoples songs.
Lately I've made more songs in Swedish than in English though. Perhaps this is because I moved to the US and my band is still in Sweden. I miss playing in a band, oh well.
Do you have any recorded material? :D

Hello arevestar!
You sound to be a good and experienced composer. Like you! I am also more towards composition in our native language than in English. In fact, I don't have any English composition yet, but am trying to start with one soon...Yes its very very much interesting to sing our own song than to sing always the others song...Ok keep on composing. I hope you will be famous one day and surely notify me when you post your compostion..Enjoy mylotting...

We each have different talents. I do not compose music but my daughter does. She is also like you in not being able to play instruments. She can play a little. She usually works on songs and then has to have someone help her with the instruments. She can hear the song in her head if that makes any sense. She has put together music on a CD and is now writing and singing more songs. I am looking forward to hearing what she will do next. I wish you well with your music. I think you will do well at it.
