I always change my cell phone once a year, the technology is developing so quickly,so we can't follow it.By the way,I have no choice to change my phone, because I had been stolen four times during last 5 yeas.
What about you? How often do you change you cell phone and why?

Long time no see, my dear tracy friend. I don't often change my cell phones for fashion. The first time I changed my cell phone was due to the bad quality in receiving signals and the second time I changed my cell phone was because it was stolen and the third time I changed it was that I wanted to have a cell phone that I don't have to hold it close to my ear, but to my mouth with the speaker on. Now I am happy that I have got this present one, a domestic brand--Yitong, which is very good in quality. I love it a lot, more than the previous ones that I have ever had.
By the way, please be more careful, tracy, that you make sure that you are not stolen, nor is your cell phone. lol. I enjoy your discussion and wish to read more of your new ones. Happy posting, tracy.

Me too, if my cellphone was not stolen last 2007 I will not change it. Today I have 2 phones with different network. I am not following the technology because I don't have budget for that, we are recession so we must save money, but the needs for 2 phones for our job and communication are given.

Recent makes always make an apeal but in a sense it seems useless and only wastage of money. Because it is a neverending race. Secondaly comapanies market and make product in a way that each model lacks facilities of other to come.

I only change my cellphone when the old one stops working. I am not interested in keeping up with the most modern tecnology, because it's too expensive. I would rather have a phone that works, and does what I want to do, not something that is the most recent technology i can find.

I've had my same little sanyo flip phone for several years. I don't use it much so it is fine for me. Mainly because I don't have need for all the new stuff. Sometimes I wish I could afford to buy a fancy new one. Then I talk myself out of it. My son and my stepdaughter are always buying new ones. I hate to think of how much they spend just because it "is the latest thing".

Well, if you are talking about style of cell, I change every two years with contract. But if you are counting it needing to be replaced due to malfunction or other, I usually get them replaced once a year. My most recent cell that I got about a year ago, I dropped in toilet within month of having it and had to replace it and then that one malfunctioned several months later and then had to have it replaced so I have had 3 cells same style in about a years time.

Hello tracy1985,
I seldom buy new cell phone because of the arrival of new model or new technology. I always stick to my cell phone until it is out of order. The one that I have right now, I have been using it since December, 2008 due to the previous cell phone got damaged.
