I hate Walmart!

So I'm in Walmart yesterday and trying to get a decent employee to answer a basic question is like pulling teeth! So after being treated like someone with the Black Plague I thought of these cool ways to get on their nerves. Take the shopping carts for the express purpose of filling them and stranding them at strategic locations. Ride those little electronic cars at the front of the store. Set all the alarm clocks to go off at ten minute intervals throughout the day. Start playing Calvinball and see how many people you can get to join in. Contaminate the entire auto department by sampling all the spray air fresheners. Challenge other customers to duels with tubes of gift wrap. And finally Walk up to an employee and tell them in an official ton, "I think we've got a Code 3 in Hours wares and see what happens. HA HA. Does anyone think I'm being a bit too extreme?

Those sound like one of the jokes I got in an email a few months back. I would be afraid of getting the police called on me by doing those. I do agree though that the Wal-mart employees always seem to have way too much free time on their hands. When you go into the stores you always see all of these employees walking or standing around and then when you need one in the certain department that you need they have all vanished and are not there to help you.Although yes I do think that those may be a little extreme although would be very funny if you could pull it off without getting cuffed and sent off to jail!

It's only my warped sense of humor but it was fun to imagine if I could do all those things but I'm a bit too old to be acting like the Juvenile delinquent! Ha Ha!

i hate walmart too.i only go when i have to. with ours,it's not so much an asking a question issue-it's that they never have enough checkout lines open.ever. 20 booths,5 open.it's ridiculous.shopping for a few items shouldn't become a headache causing, all day event.

Walmart is such an awful place to shop. I certainly understand your feelings. The worst thing to me is the way they treat us like criminals and practically frisk us before we can leave the store, having to show the receipt and then having them count your items, etc. That is so demeaning and I seldom shop there for that reason alone. However, please don't mess with the handicap carts. Some of the little old people who come in to shop REALLY count on having them there.

Everybody Loves to Hate Walmart. Thats why the parking lot is always crowded and thy the business is the Biggest most Successful in America. I once bought a Breadmachine at Walmart for $108. I used it for a month and decided to take it back to the store because it burned the bread crust. I took it to Customer Service and was told to pick up another and come back to the desk. I found the exact same model brought it back to the desk, and because of a recent price rollback, got back over $30.00. How can anyone Hate a Business that will do that for a Customer?

Steve- I started a thread not too long ago about the documentary Wal-Mart: High Cost in the movie section. I have not shopped at Wal-Mart in a long time even before I saw the movie because I disagree with their business practices. Having now seen the movie I am glad of my choice. They are a horrible company, they treat their employees like second class citizens, and those poor people are stuck because they don't have enough money to quit and get another job. It's just sad. I truly wish more people would vote them out of their own, but sadly that will probably never happen. I try to shop local shops here as much as possible and I participate in a Co-Op. Namaste-Anora

Considering that we just got back from Wal-mart, and we are limited in where we can shop - small town, Walmart is just about it! LOL These sound like VERY good ideas.....need any help?

I hate walmart and I try to go there less and less. We use to go there every weekend to shop but now we cut it down to every other weekend and I hope I can cut that down. Walmart does have alot of good prices on things but they give people a hard time about coupons. Even though its stated in their coupon policy you always have to fight with some cashier about scanning the thing. One girl told me we don't accept internet coupons anymore. She didn't even try and scan it so I sent a nasty little email to walmart.com and got a call from the manager. He said make sure I call him if I have another problem but I have been printing their policy out the day I know I will be going into walmart. The date prints out on the paper and when they give me that crap about they don't take internet coupons I pull out my policy and say oh really did your policy change since this morning when i printed this out? They act as if you are stealing money from their pocket by using coupons when they get reimbursed from the manufactor of the product.

I agree with you about the walmart in my area, I swear they only hire people who either have IQs lower than 50 or people who just don't give a crap. I've found Its not like that at every walmart, though. I've been on a few road trips over the years and found that there are actually some stores that do have intelligent and friendly employees....just not in my area LOL.

I am not sure about all that but I recently went of vacation with a friend of mine to Denver. We ended up going to six different Wal-marts. Frankly I am tired of it. I could have done a dozen other things besides visiting Wal-marts!!! I think there are people out there that are addicted to Wal-mart. It will soon be a named disease recognized by the AMA.

Hi MynameisSteve! I LOVE your personality! I would SOOOOOOOOOO do ALL of those... well, maybe not... what's Calvinball? Don't forget to start placing odd items into strangers carts too... or go into electronics and play the video games then be as loud, obnoxous as you can then ask for a new game to try out LOLOL... I LOVE Wal-Mart... in a BAD way... honestly, I'll walk around the store because its the most local place to go to and then they still not have what I need *at least in a convienent place* so I'll wlak around the store saying as loudly as I can how much I HATE Wal-Mart and how I'm just going to go to Target because at least things are where they should be (so not true, btw) The best part is walking around the store saying to NO ONE in particular because you are ALONE (for example, I did this once) "If you were a clothes line in Wal-Mart, where would you be" all the while you pass by 4 employees (ONE being a MANAGER) who completely ignore you. Oh, and one time... I went there for paint... and I had someone paged 5 times to paint, finally 45 minutes later, I whipped out my cell phone, CALLED Wal-Mart, demanded to speak to a manager and told him he needed to come to paint to assist me before I decided I was going to learn how to mix my own paint... which would NOT have been a pretty site... Wal-marts are pathetic and SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO over-rated!

Wow! I don't have a clue about the store where you live, but I can tell you its not like that at every store.I think a lot of the problems are not only lazy employees but management getting a bee in the butt about how not to do much while they are on company time. I would have liked to see the look on that manager's face when you told him that if he didn't get someone to help you, pronto, you would do the job yourself! That look would have been absolutely priceless.

I only go to walmart when I have too. I think walmart has gone down the past few years. It didn't use to be like that. Maybee you had that one walmart in town that was the one that was always crowed with crumy service but now they are all like that. I just go when I know I need one specific thing. I use to make my groceries there cause I lived closer to walmart than my grocery store but since I moved im closer to HEB(a grocery store chain in texas) so I really have no need to go to walmart.
