actually, money isn't the most important thing in anyone's life, you see, you can't do anything with money if there is nothing to buy, and even if there was, I'd still say that religion and family were the most imporant things in life, and friends don't come any where near that, neither does money, you can't buy love and good deeds..

money is important. and it can be number one. but i don't put it as number one. but may be number 1,5 :)
it's difficult to say fergus. i love being good person, but i need to have money too. and i can't help people or do good thing for free. even i work to a company it's because i need them to pay me.

I feel if I have enough money I can spend more time with my son and my family. As I am gaining some weight I would like to loose some weight , for that I will have to go to gym which I can't go to now.
So money is linked almost with every part of our life.

i can without money to live if i have some ability. if you have special ability or technology you will earn many money at a short time. many persons works for many years and not more than a star's one day's earning. so money is not important. heath is important .it is fair to everyone.

My family comes first. Money only comes in second. I love my mom and my brother so much that I'd gladly give up my life for them. Money comes next because, let's be honest, we need money to survive. Love alone won't suffice.

Every needs money to survive. There is no denying the fact. But money is not everything. Those who hanker after money can never be satisfied, for satisfaction for man is almost impossible. Only the grave can fill the avaricious belly of man. Money is important but it is not the whole thing. I don't give money as primary importance, rathe it is a secondary importance for me. I love doing work sincerely and selflessly, focusing on the great quality of work, and money follows as well. A hard-earned or lawful money is what delights me more than anything else.

It's not the most important thing, but yes, one has to give substantial importance towards it too. Living in this world without money is like living without oxygen. We can't stand even a day without money and it sure is important. But coming to think of it, a person who has all the money in the world, is not happy either. He always thinks he had more and wishes to have something more to life than money. So I think one has to work or do anything with both family and money in mind.

I would have to reply to your question with a yes and a no. Of course we do need money to survive and make sure our family is alright with a roof over our head and food on the table.
It takes money to have things to live and that makes money an important thing in that facet.
However on the other side of it money is not always the most important thing. Money can't buy everything including someone's love or just basic happiness.
Money can't buy your health back either.

i can understand your point of view and i dont tell it that it is wrong in one way it is right but i would like to mention that above money we have so many things which we cant live without as you mom mentioned yes it is health and also our beloved ones whom we like the most. if we have lot of money and no one with us do you think that money will accompany us ? i dont think so. and we can find that there are many people who are rich and also rich in having health problems and they always fear for their money getting lost and have n peace of mind. peace of mind is really important for a person for a good living. money can be got and earned anytime but not our loved ones. so money is not everything but it is just a part of life.

Nope my kids are.
I've never had much money or things so it's hard to miss what you've never had.
I do wish for less needs... meaning that a bit more money would be nice... enough to make sure the bills were paid, food was plentiful, and a few extra across the table... less worries.
But really I'm content to life with enough. I don't need More.

Hi there... nice topic. No, money is not the number one most important thing in my life... but it is nice to have! lol
Health is important, but its not my number one either.
I'd say my number ones are my friends and family. We've always had good times whether I brought home $2K a month or $0 a month. Card games, telling jokes, laughing about old times, etc etc is what I cherish the most.
We do a lot of 4wheeling/jeeping/camping/amusement parks, etc... so money is important to do those things... but as long as I have good friends and good times... I'm happy as hell!

My personal choices would be love, health and money. I think all three of them help the world go round.
Everyone needs to feel loved and love. It is one of the basic needs in life. Love relationships are formed with friends, family and so on.
Health is very important, both physical and mental. Worries will bring with them more stress and problems.
As for money, it is definitely important because it will help you feel less stressed. Right now, I can't say I have much money :( but I am glad that my family loves me and supports me and that I am healthy!

Hi there fergus,
people shouldn't avoid money and think when the need money it was a sin. Because it is not. In my oppinion, same as yours, imagine when we got sick and we have no money to pay the medicine and doctor or an operation.
In small country, thirth world like mine, where i live, The is no insurance from government for health and and every thing should build from the start to buil "a Live" between not too rich or too poor.
Everyone struggle to be "okay" for the next day.
I mean i don't want to be very rich, having villa which have swimming pool and back yard garden. I just thing in my day old. when the body not strong enough to work again,.. i can manage to pay all the bill and be greatfull to God for letting me life in this world.
Happy posting always,

Hmmmm..I have not really given it a thought, but come to think of it, I think the answer is no. Or why would I not mind doing overtime work without pay? Or serve without counting the cost? Or do volunteer work without expecting anything in return? I know that money is important, but it's not really number one as far as decision making or making choices is concerned.

Money is not the number one thing in my life it's my family, money comes in second. But if you think about it would only put money first because we need it to by the things we need to live. If we didn't need it then there would be something else that would be number one in people's life. It would be nice if we didn't need money and we had some other way of getting the things we need I bet there would be less crime in the world. Most people do bad things because of money and the fact that they don't have it.

Hi,fergus
Well,I don't think money is the number one thing in my life.I have many things more valuable than money, for example,my dream, friends, families, happiness. They all have a higher position than money in my heart. However, you are right, money can do almost everything and without money life will be really hard for us.But however hard life is,you can still live through, right? But if you feel that you are no longer happy or you don't have even just one friend, then I think there is nothing you are living for in the world and who knows what you will do and how will you go on your life, that is terrible I think.
Have a nice day!
