Do you take something to read when you are in the toilet?

Hi med...Doesn't everyone? After all some people have books and magazines in their bathrooms.

No I do not prefer to take newspaper etc articles inside toilet. It looks odd to me.

Hey, this is the natural habit who takes longer time in toilet then others and i not having such habit of taking anything. i know some smoking while in toilet to lessen the time and this is the some of the habit in which not done anything because they are personal habit of their own. if you ask me then i say that i not take anything to read nor to smoke while in toilet.

No, I personally don't. However, I do remember noticing that my dad would do that. He would bring the newspaper, or something like that, into the bathroom, and read, I presume. But he's actually the only person that I know, who does that. But I've never done that. The only time that I'll read, while I'm in the bathroom, is when I'm taking a bath, which doesn't happen all that often. I just don't get the chance to take many baths. Or, at least, not as many as I would want.

I know a lot of people do it and they justify it by saying it helps them relax but for me I find it quite disgusting. I mean .. surely the germs on theirs hands etc are then on the newspaper or book and they then leave it to others to read thus passing on the germs .. for me i find it unhygienic.

My teacher once told me that the toilet is the best place to learn, especially memorizing stuff and maths etc etc.This is mainly because you are totally relaxed. If you actually realise when you seat on the toilet seat your mind travelsto various places, you dont even know you are thinking about soomething. I personally dont like reading in the toilet. Although sometimes I take my time in there.

No,i dont like it.I prefer to read news paper after all my morning works.Reading news paper and sipping a hot glass of tea in early morning is a special experience for me.I dont like to miss this process in a single day

Hi med889 I don't read anything if I go to the toilet. If I use the toilet, its just a few minutes then I am done. My brother is like your boyfriend, he likes to get something to read while in the toilet...he is like that ever since he was a kid. I saw a picture of him while being potty trained and he was reading The Three Little Pigs. There are some who smokes at the toilet, they feel that they can't make it without smoking first.

LOL! YEAH I DO!!! hahah funny but yes i do this, somehow I think this helps me do the stuff easily. And this habit runs in the family even my younger brother aged 10 so this. Sometimes if I forget to bring something to read, I read the shampoo labels or anything readable I can find.

No- my husband does it too- I think when using the bathroom- get in, do your thing, and get out- why would you want to linger around in there and read??? Do your business and get out! Go read on the sofa or recliner!
