should I learn play guitar to make impression with a girl

well if the girl likes the guitar so much and she likes it more than anything you can learn and impress her because its a way to score brownie points

From an older girls perspective I'd say 'no, by all means learn the guitar, but do it for you! There is nothing more attractive than someone who is himself, is secure in himself, and doesn't need to show off. ( She'll know !) What's the point in attracting her to someone who you only pretend you are? That's hard work and sooner or later you'll find it won't work. Humour is a great connector between two people, but again, humour reflects the person, so trying to be funny for the sake of it won't work either because it just won't be funny! Just like yourself, don't try too hard , and there will be girl whose eye you will catch.

You should just be yourself and if being yourself is learning the guitar then that is cool. I do think that some women find men who play music to be more attractive. I like seeing a man bear his soul while playing out emotional songs. However I tend to date men that are physical workers and do not play any instrument. So I think it all depends on the lady. I think she should like you for you no matter what.

Firstly, I think you should look at the tags you wrote for this disscussion and follow the second one, which was BE YOURSELF. Secondly, learning guitar comes easy for some, but not for others. Make sure you can ACTUALLY play well before you try impressing a girl with playing guitar. I like that guys can play guitar, but if someone tried impressing me with playing, and they could hardly play at all, I would not be impressed, in fact I would probably laugh. I would rather date a guy who couldn't play guitar and had a great personality rather than a guy who tried to hard to impress me. I am not telling you not to take up playing guitar! But make sure you do it for the right reasons. Girls will come and go each day. Don't waste your time playing guitar if that's not something you like.

Haha! that is funny! Just be yourself man! Why should you play the guitar to get a girl??? If you want to play the guitar you better learn but not for a girl! Do something you are good in, something you like! for yourself! then oneday the right girl will come! someone who likes what you are, what you do and what you are good at! All the best!

If learning to play an insturmant is something that you have always wanted to do then do it. But to do something that takes so much time and concentration just to impress someone never works. First you cannot learn to play overnight and by the time you are good (if you are musically inclined) you will not be interested in the same girl. So you have to make yourself happy. She has to like you for you not so fake you.

Just be your self

I suggest play to our strengths. If it is easier for you to make her laugh. Go for it. Learning to play the guitar is hard work and you need to devote time to it. If you have no time, it is futile.
