I made some money watching a tv show

Yep, got a $25 prepaid Visa card - and Yes, I've already spent it!
Anyway, they sat me down and I watched 2 episodes of Samantha Who?
The premise of the show is that she was in a coma and has amnesia. She also has this bad time with boyfriends, and these 2 friends. One seems to be a nice gal, the other is a shallow... well, not quite sure exactly what I can call her, because while she's shallow, she did do something nice for Deana - I think her name was.
I liked the dad alright, the mom was kind of clueless, and a boozer, and Samantha was likable but there wasn't a lot of substance to her either.
I guess I'm just not a sit-com kindda gal. Now, the roomie really hated it, but I think I could survive watching it again, but not enough to go find out when its on. I'm an sf/action kind of gal. I find most sit-coms pretty pointless.
Honestly, my main thoughts were "why is she friends with that Andrea gal?" and "is there a point to any of this?"
Or maybe, I just expect more for the waste of time of commercials - and, yes, they inflicted commercials on me too!
Oh well, at least after we were done, we drove over and I got season 5 of NCIS!

It was The Media Panel, and apparently the roomie's been doing some surveys for them before this. But this time they wanted her to go in and that meant she needed me. And if I had to go, why not watch it with her? And it was close to the house too.

That sounds cool... is such a similar opportunity available to others?

Good that you were able to watch it and get a prepaid visa card. We're bummed out. We can't watch any of the new NCIS. Digital doesn't work for the station the new stuff is on, only for the stations with the repeats!

My husband showed me where the old ones are online, but not the new ones. CBS has the new ones online? That would be cool, thanks!

You can watch NCIS online. Just go to the CBS website and look for the full episodes. There is another site that offers that but I can't think of the name right now.

Yes, we've had that show here already and I thought it was empty. There seemed to be no point to the whole thing as well. The characters were not likeable and the story was dull and unlikely. I'm not sure what was supposed to be funny about it. A shame really because I really like Christina Applegate.

Well that was a nice little bit of money. I watched "Samantha" a little bit but they kept changing time or took it off and them back on so I lost interest. But what I did see was kind of cute "fluff". Like you I'd rather watch NCIS - especially Jethro and Abby! I also like the little digs the agents get and give. I also occasionally give my son the "Jethro slap" as I call it...

Oh I love Ducky, too. I've loved him since Man From Uncle when her and Robert Vaughn played spys. David played agent Illya Kuryakin.

That is a good deal. I would like to get in on doing some reviews like that too. I am not a big fan of the sitcoms that are on these days as it seems that they aren't very solid in stories. I like the older ones- I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, etc. Those were better stories than what we have now. I glad that you got something out of it that you wanted.

So, you're saying they'd have to pay you again to watch another episode?
There are lots of shows like that in my opinion. That's why I don't watch much TV.
A propos of nothing, my first greatniece (grandniece?) is named Samantha.

I did a market research study like that once. I think we got paid $20.00 a piece for doing it. It was a long night. It was about 2 hours watching these small TV screens then we had to answer questions. It was kind of a long and boring night, there were a couple of different TV shows. One of them did not make it on air, the other one did but I can't remember what it was, it didn't last very long.

Wow that is pretty nice that you were able to get a visa card out of watching two episodes of a show. Nice deal, and you even got to use the money for NCIS which is a great show. Did you end up signing up for this panel?

Sorry if this question has already been asked but who sat you down? I've seen the show before and it was ok and I would watch it again if nothing was on but like you I don't think I'd seek it out.
