I'm 45 this year and I act like I'm 2o and I feel like it too. Besides a little backache here and there and my feet hurt all the time I feel great. Some people are 18 going on 40I'm 45 thinking I'm 20. Do you feel your age and do you think people should act there age? I think as long as you feel young why not act like it too

This is what I have been telling alot of people, but they just assume when yo reach a certian agw you are old. That is so not true. I am 60 have fun with life, eat well and do not feel old. do I have aches and pains, sure , but I had rhose when I was younger also. In fact when I was quite younger I had bubions that hurt so bad that I could barely walk, had to buy expensive extra wide shoes and even that barely helped. After I had bunuin surgery, I was like a kid again. 2 years ago I had a hammer toe that was slowing me down, but I had that taken care of and am back to feling good. I do believe your outlook on life makes your life what it is. When you ge lemons, make lemonade.!

You should consider getting them done, the surgery that I had was done in a local office, with a local anethestetic and very small incisions, I was on my feet the next day and in open shoes a few days later.

I know what you mean about the bunions, I have them too that's why my feet are a mess but otherwise I feel pretty darn good.

Er...not usually. See, I've a year left until I'm officially an adult, but I've more or less acted like an adult since I was thirteen. Necessity rather than choice. And it's a bit hard to get out of acting like an adult after you've grown up kinda quickly. I'm always told that I should try, so I do...but I'm the way I am, you know? I reckon that's OK. I like the way I am. *shrugs* To me, work is fun. To a kid, work isn't necessarily fun...and so I tend to like to do alot of serious, life-important things for enjoyment (the fact that it's necessary can be ignored if it's fun). Alot of the time, particularly when I'm down...I feel old. Partly from exhaustion, partly because I have lived ALOT for my young life. I've lived enough already to fill several lifetimes, and I'm still truckin'. I know I AM young, but I feel more like I'm in my mid twenties, than in my last year as a teen. I try not to feel middle aged, so I guess that's something at least.

I am 58 and I have seen other people my age that are old! I however feel younger inside then I did when I had all the struggle and responsibility of raising three kids by myself...my body however lets me know I am getting older....my knees are the worst part but I can still handle it....I try to exercise everyday..eat right and think young! LOL...they say the best way to stay young is to hang out with younger people!

I am 33 years old but most people mistaken me for 26 yrs. old. I am very jolly person and I feel that I am still 21 at heart. Maybe that is the reason I look younger than my age.

Hi missybear! You know what?? last week I went for a free check-up, I got to know that my body age is 60 eventhough my age only 36yrs hehehehehehe...maybe less exercise lol!!! By the way, when rational time, I will act and think as a 36yrs mother or 4 terror but sometimes still think that I'm in my 20's hahahahaha......the truth is I never feel I'm getting older!! I don't think we need to worry about how we feel or act regarding our age...just enjoy the life as long we are happy!!!:)

That's right, I did 1 of those "What's your real age tests" and it came out to be 55 then I did it a couple month later and it was 50. I think it changed course I quit smoking but that's all just bologna.

I guess it all depends on how good life has been to the individual. I'm 48, I work 12 - 13 hour days I have 3 children aging 18-24 a wonderful husband whose 50. We try to exercise daily and try to eat the right portion of meals, fruits and vegetables to allow us to enjoy life at its fullest. Other than the fact that I wear glasses and I'm a bit fuller than I was 5 years ago at 5 feet 6 inches and 140 lbs I feel like I've never aged and give thanks daily to the almighty.

Hey missy! You go girlfriend and good for you! Stay and feel as young as you can for as long as you can! Take my word for it, age tends to catch up with you when you least expect it! I was feeling younger than my age until about 2 years ago. And then all of a sudden my body started to break down and now I am starting to feel my age which is old! I hate it! I used to walk really fast and my younger friends could never keep up with me and I was proud of that! But, lately I have slowed down and that is making me very unhappy! I am always tired and just not feeling the way I used to! So, like I said keep feeling as young as you can, because age does sneak up on you and it sucks!

I believe there's nothing wrong not acting your age at all. As long as you don't over do it :) I'm 23 and I feel like I'm still in my teen days. It's still nice to go back from time. :)

I like your point. In fact, many people said I look much younger than my real age. Sometimes I'm worried it cause it means I'm not very mature. But most of time I don't mind it. People can always be young as long as they keep positive and optimistic attitude and have a young heart.

I say live your life the way you want to. Life is to short to always be worried about stupid things like age. I'm 29 and my BF is 21, I can out party him and all his friends any day of the week and make it through work at my REAL job the next day. Most of my friends that have given up partying for marrage and kids look like they are turning 40, not 30, but not me no one believes I'm 29. So it's your life I say live it what ever way makes you happy, and remember chances are the people that tell you to act your age are most likely just jealous!

Dear missybear, I don't think this should bother you at all. I am happy that you feel younger than your age. I'd you think that this is your natural way of acting, congratulations! The world is filled with serious people that are not that happy at all. So why bother about your natural way of behavior. You should be happy rather than being confused. But of course there are consequences on this issue. Who cares as long as you are happy?

hahaha!!! I'm 48 but I act like 24 heheh... I don't like to go with people my age. I always go with the teen agers. I will not enjoy to be with people like my age because they act so, old hahaha... I don;t know why I enjoyed being with the youth. I am also petite and when I buy for clothes I will go to the teens department because that is my size. I don't feel my age as 48? hahah I feel like teens.

I think it depends on the person's life situation. If someone is single or married without kids then they probably will feel younger than they are. Most married people I know with children (including myself) tend to feel a little older because the kids wear us down mentally and physically. For the most part I do feel my age (38) but there are plenty of days that I feel a lot older because I'm exhausted so much from my kids.

that is very much true of me. when i was 24 i feel like im 19. now i am 37 i feel like 28. i don't know why i don't feel exactly my age. seems like there always something in the past that i would like to get back to so i get to hold on to those feelings when i was younger. i don't seem to be prepared emotionally for the present situation and feels i am more prepared i get the chance to a decade younger and act that age. LOL. hopefully by the time i am 38. i have fulfilled many dreams in my life that i will be willing to act my age and not look back and dream on what it feels to be young again. though i want to look young and be as healthy as horse as i get older but emotionally i want to feel just my age without showing the real age in how i look physically. i admit though i look physically just my age. i don't like that cause i feel like 28 still and i want to feel that way. i have heard or seen in oprah on the anti oxidants in food and discussed those foods. like red navy beans. and broccoli. that those vegetables are good way to make us a decade younger again. so those in the kitchen nature's wonderful fountain of youth or natural age defying regimen for us. too bad i don't have the money to buy them always. that is why i am trying to save money to buy them.

i act according to my age and sometimes i don't LOL!... i can adjust according to the person i am dealing with, i don't mind if i am having a conversation with a teenager or a middle age man/woman. i can adapt myself to any situation and at any gender or age at all. i am 25 years old already but i don't look like 25, i more look like in my 19-21 age bracket. but my mind set is something comparable to a 35++ man.
