Lovely! i would say. The butterfly is simply stunning. I would have loved it if it had a darker background coz the yellow and the paaterns onthe butterfly would have stood out perfectly! what do you think??

yes, maybe the image would be better because the butterfly would stand out more, but the purpose of the image is to show how stealthy this butterfly can be. :) thank you for your comments and thanks for looking!

I looked at the butterfly photo and thought, well that's fair enough for a beginner.. then I visited your blog and discovered a very competent photographer indeed. Your panoramas are beautifully constructed and engaging, and your macros are great examples of close-up technique. Why on earth you posted this very ordinary image when you are capable of such great work, I cannot imagine!

lol... when i took this photo i only had my sigma 55-200 at me. And that's as close as i could get. My macro shots are taken with different home-made things, and can't leave them on the camera permanently, as the mount or the lens or, worse, both could break. And, this photo (well, to be fair, along with another one) shows how great some creature adapted to the imvironment, and how stealthy they can be. This butterfly has unsaturated colors on one side of the wings, and very saturated colors on the other side. Anyway, thanks for looking! :)
