Hello everybody, We are in the so called busy age, there are lots of things we need to do we are mothers/fathers and at the same time friend and co worker. I heard in some country they need to have doubled or even tripled job. Other people can do to things at the same time. Others can read and at the same time view something, cook while washing clothes, As of me I sometimes eat and work at the same time. How about you are you a multi tasking person doing things at the same time? Do you find it helpful or just a waste of time? Do you have some tips on how to be efficient in multi tasking? Can you please share your opinion about this? Thanks.

Hi.
If things like mylotting and listening to music at the same time can be counted as multitasking, then I am surely a player in multitasking. I can also do...
Eating and watching TV.
But outside this, if I can perform a single task at a time then my parents will be really happy with me.

Haha. it's a good idea ! You are interesting.
As your said, I can do more and more multitasking, such as chatting and eating , watching TV, chatting online with friends, mylotting, listening to TV news, talking to hubby to do something at the same time.
You see, it's happy to do multitasking...

I am always a perfectionist and like to do full justice to any thing I do.So I don't do multitasking.I loose patience and become restless when I am asked to perform a task while I am already doing one.Because I get so engrossed with whatever I do and finish the job with the maximum fine touches.I know that I will make a mess of everything if I decide to do multitasking.

i definitely am... i like to utilise my time in the most effective and efficient manners... and the only way to do it is to multitask... even though sometimes it makes me really tired because i have to do many things at once and think about many things at once as well... but so far i am doing quite well with that i think... :-) take care and have a nice day...

I am a big multi-tasker. I am always doing three or four things at once just to get more done in my day. For me, the key is to do several things at one time that are relatively in the same area. For example, I will do laundry as I am cleaning the kitchen because the kithchen is close to the laundry room. I will research on my computer while I am cleaning the living room, and I will often do things like eat, read, and watch t.v. all at once. I will cook dinner, straighten the kitchen, wash dishes, and work on the next days schedule all at once.
I think that the only tip I have to offer is to be very organized and know what things can easily fit together. For example, you don't want to mow the yard while watering it, but, you can water it and pull weeds at the same time. Just go to the areas that you have already watered, and pukl weeds while the ground is wet. This is just an example, but I hope it helps you.

Hi mhethess! Yes..I would say that I do indeed multi task. There are so many thing that I want to do and then so many things that I have to do..that I am always in to a lot of things at once. It is helpful for me because I think it helps me balance my life. If I'm doing the things that need to be done at the same time I'm doing the things I want to do...I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds. Take care.

most of the time i am. im the type of person that want all things to be done as quickly as it can. if i can do it faster than the other, i would rather do all the work. hehehe..
anyway, during my rest days before when i was still studying, i used to clean my apartment while cooking. i use to do all my laundry while listening to the CD I got or some music i got from online and delete the ones that i dont like after laundry. i make my bed while turning on the heater for my coffee. things like that..

Once, I had a double job for a week or two. I have been working usual 9 to 5 job and then I was also doing a part time job from 6 to 9 in a shop as a clerk.
It was fruitful as far as money was concerned but at the same time, it was exhausting and I used to get very tired the next morning and to make matter worse, the job were haing only one day as a leave, that is why I left the evening one and were happy with only first one!

Hi mhethess, All the time...otherwise I would lag behind . There is so much to do in a day that I have to do 2,3 or 4 different things at the same time. I will be putting a wash and grinding the masala and attending to what is on the stove and cutting vegetables all at the same time or talking on the phone as I am making a shopping list and sometimes watering the plants ...I have so got used to doing many things at the same time that i feel that it is a waste of time attending to just one task LOL - have a good day and happy mylotting

Yes, I love to multitask. I always find ways to multitask because for me, time is always precious. Also, I know I can do a lot of different things in a day. Sometimes, I also like to challenge myself that I can finish everything in my task list for the day. When I go to the gym, I always exercise and watch television or listen to the radio at the same time. When I turn on the computer, I always surf the net, download shows or games, and chat at the same time with friends. Sometimes, I even chat on the cellphone with friends too.

I am a multi tasking mania. I have been doing this from work. I do up everything and to my main tasks assigned. Lately it'll be more multitasking, I'll be going back to school that would be job and work on the same days.

I used to be terrible at multitasking but with some practice I have improved quite a lot. I do a lot of different things and without the methods I have conceived I would have no chance of getting them completed in reasonable time. I still have a lot more stuff to work into my methods but I am making great progress. Firefox helps me out with a lot of tasks, they have so many useful add-ons.

Well I can multy task but I think ultimately its a waste of time. I think If you try to do a few things at the same time then both jobs end up half done. Also I just plain don't believe people can be reading and listening to music at the same time or reading and watching tv. You just can't take pleasure from both at the same time.

i am a mother of two, 5 years old and 3 years old. being a mother, is naturally having a multitasking instinct in nature i think. like me, for example, when i am washing the clothes, at the same time i cooked for my kids. not just cooking and washing alone but also the same time, watching my kids of what they are doing, i've done this thing a lot of time everytime my househelper is on vacation like now.

yes i multi task all the time. when i wake up i turn on the computer, then while its reading i sweep the floor, afterwards cook, then while waiting for it to cook, i check email, then do something else, like check my child if he's awake make milk for him, wash the dog's pee or clean the poop... i do all the household chores here especially when my daughter is not around like right now she's on vacation at my mom's house. it helps to multitask, you can do a lot and finish a lot of work in less time.
after i'm done with all the house work, then i do my online earning thing, including mylotting, reading mails, blogging, etc...
