I promised an update when I felt up to it, so since I am actually doing and feeling a lot better than I thought I would. I have had a little bit of a headache on and off and took a Hydrocodone for the pain, but other than that I am actually feeling really good.
I have to see the Doctor who did the surgery in the morning and see how things really are looking, and ask some questions, etc. but I think things are going really good. If you were to ask me right now, I feel this was the best thing that I could have ever done, and if there is any of you considering having Cataract surgery and have the Insurance to cover it, there is nothing to be worried about.
Wanted to Thank everyone for your Prayers, and will update you more as time goes on.

congratulations on your successful cataract surgery.did you have surgery on one or both the eyes.my mom had the cataract operation a few years back in both the eyes.i mean one eye first then in the next year in the left eye and she can see everything clearly now and has no problems at all.i hope you do not have any effect of it and have a very good vision as well.congrats once again.

I am so glad to hear that your surgery was a success. Did you have laser or microsurgury to remove them? Now I bet you feel like you are truly "seeing the world in a whole new light, or through new eyes." Kudos to you for getting that up and out of your way so that you can come and talk things over with us again more freely. Though with your ranking, you touch type and you're not about to let your cataracts keep you down. Or anything else for that matter. You sound like a really cool lady.
By the way, I think someone else on mylot is using your photo as their avatar because yesterday I had a friend request which had the same photo on it but it was a different username because you have been on my friends list for a couple of years already. So keep your eyes peeled (pardon the pun).

Any type of surgery on the eye freaks me out! I know that they freeze the eye so you won't feel anything, but the thought of them coming at your eyeball with sharp objects makes me quiver! They would have to tie me down in order to keep me from moving!
So glad that your surgery went well. My Uncle had this surgery done. He wished he had done it years earlier.

Hi Tina, I’m real.....ly glad to see your new discussion occurring here about your successful cataract surgery. I feel relieved to know that everything is going so smoothly. Don’t worry my friend, my younger brother did have a little bit uncomfortable feeling in his head part after the cataract surgery last year.
It’s nice to know that you have the insurance to cover all the expenses of the surgery, just like what my brother had had before. I believe after the surgery your eyesight will become extremely good, and can do your reading and computer work more efficiently. Anyway don't keep on working for longer time. It's rather better for you to have a proper rest after working on the computer.
Happy posting and take care!

Good for you Krause! I'm happy to hear that the procedure was a success and I wish you a speedy recovery! Although it's not the same thing, I went through Lasik surgery a few months back and aside from the nervousness and a little discomfort afterwards, it too was one of the best things I've done. You can't help but be nervous when it comes to the eyes!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling so good and thanks for the update. I think the worst part of any surgery is the worry beforehand. Now that you know what to expect, you should do exceptionally well with your other eye!
So, here's to good sight and a successful surgery!
