Hello Mylotters, I was just looking at a money tree online. It is believed to bring you good luck and fortune. Have you ever owned one? Do you believe it can bring you more prosperity into your life? I love plants but I don't know if I really believe that it can bring you good fortune. If you've had some unusual experiences with it or stories that you'd like to share please feel free. I might just get one simply because I love plants and it would be interesting to watch it grow.

my sister bought me two money trees couple of years back, not really for luck but for as an ornament and conversation piece, so i consider it a coincidence when, after a few weeks, i got more projects and subsequently an increase in my income. then late last year, my neighbor's dog destroyed one of the plants, leaving with me with only one. a month later, i lost a number of my projects, reducing my income to half of what it used to be. i don't blame the dog, nor do i blame the loss of the money tree. i believe it's purely coincidental. if there's anything at all to blame for my loss of income, it's the recession.

i never have a money tree before... but i had heard many people who believe in it and plant it in their house just for the sake to have good fortune especially the chinese people... i don't really believe in that... i only believe in hard work... there is no easy money in this world... but you are right... it is interesting to watch the tree grows and it actually looks beautiful... take care and have a nice day...

if there is a such thing I need to get me a seed for one or two. lol With times being so hard it would be nice to have such a thing. Hubby just told me we are not doing too good. Everytime he is supposed to work overtime they cancel it which means no trip for us and where do i go to get a bit of money in my account. Mylot. Isn't that sad. I would love to go back to work to help out but I have issues with just letting my girls stay with just anyone.

Hello Citychic, I have never owned a money tree. I read it is supposed to bring good luck. I've only seen pictures of a money tree plant. Not sure if I would believe in the luck part but the plant looks good.

I only believe in science, maybe if you own a money tree, and you positevly think that it can bring you luck, it will, but because you are having a positive mind, and that has implicances in your life. However I personally have a positive mind without a money tree, so I don´t think I need it. It could be nice to have one, just because it´s nice to see it. But i don´t believe it will give you luck just because.

There are two plants which are called 'Money Tree'. The one I know is also called the 'Jade Plant' and 'Friendship Tree'. Tradition has it that if you buy one for yourself, the magic won't work - it has to be given as a gift ... perhaps not a good sales line for someone who sells them online, though I guess if you buy it as a gift that would qualify! Crassula ovata is a native of South Africa and is a popular house plant, since it tolerates dry conditions and will actually die if over watered. It is one of those that is very easy to propogate. Just a twig or even a leaf stuck in soil will root quite easily and a new plant will grow. If you want one, find a friend who has one and beg a cutting or two off them. Stick it in a pot of compost (preferably with some sand mixed in), water it till the soil is moist but not wet, pop the pot in a plastic bag and leave it on a sunny windowsill. It should root in a couple of weeks or so.

In my opinion, there's nothing wrong if you want to believe or not. But I believe in LAW of ATTRACTION, it means that when you believe that you will be having lots of money then you surely have..and it will also happen the other way around if you dont.

I have 3 of the Lucky Bamboo plants. One in each of our offices and one in the living room. I don't know if they work or not but they do seem to start to flourish when we are doing well in our businesses. Is that because it is bringing us luck or that the energy levels in our offices are higher because we are making money and are exuding positive energies?? I really don't know but enjoy having them around. Here in Florida there are about 4 different stores at a local flea market that only sell the oriental pottery and Lucky bamboo. People are searching out anything at this point. I have had ours even before the recession. :)
