My first name is Althea. I remember back in high school there were three Altheas in the same class. We were in the same class from 1st to 3rd form where we had to chose our options and then went on to different classes. Now at my present hairdresser one of the attendants has the same name. She says in her family three of her cousins shared her name as well, and when they were being referred to they were called Middle Althea, Third Althea etc... by their positions. There were three Altheas at the salon today, In my class we were referred to by our last names to make a distinction. There is a cousin who has both my first name and my last name. The principal of the school my nephew attends is Althea. There were at least two other Altheas in high school which I knew plus a few others I met casually. Althea is a pretty well used name which means: Noble one How many persons do you know or have met who share your name? Do you know the meaning of your name?

Hello ... My real name (which I'm not going to share) means drops of water that present on the tree leaves early morning ... I know many who carry my name ... and I hate that because I love to be unique ... why can't every body have different name ???

Ha.... I guess there are just too many people around and not enough names. I love it when people have unique names. Those I have met tend to be pretty cocky (but not in a bad way) about it and I like that.

Yes, I know many people who have the same first name like me , at school when I was a student, and now at work too. Well, we do get to become good friends too , though we get confused some times when people call the name ! Me or him , or him ? Ha ha !

Ha ha ha... Yes that confusion is almost unavoidable when so many persons with the same name are in the one place.

I actually sit right across from another Amy in my office, and it does get confusing. Especially when someone walks down the eisle and just says Amy. I'm never sure if they are talking to me or her, but we don't have away to distinguish. Sometimes people do address me by my last name. My name means beloved.

A nice interesting topic. My name is Priyanka and I know hell lot of people who have the same name. My name is really very common. You will find a gal named Priyanka everywhere you go. This does not make me dislike my name. I still love my name. I just wish that so many girls did not have the same name, it is also very confusing. In my school there were 3 more girls named 'priyanka' and all of them were my friends. In my junior college I knew one girl called priyanka. Later in university I knew two more girls with same name but luckily we were not in same class :-D

Ok... That must be interesting. We did the same to come up with my nephews middle name. We used letters from each of his aunts, uncle and his grandma's name.

I always thought I have a unique name not until I met someone online with same first name and same last name, and to my surprise she is a top surgeon with a renowned medical instaitution. It felt nice. Then ater 1 year I met a another one with same name and also we share somewhat similar email ID. Its amazing to see 3 people with same name and name last name. My name means A STAR.

My name means strong one. Growing up I knew a boy in a grade higher then me and he had the same name. My daughter in law has a simmler same name but she pronounces it different and it has a extra n. Not very many people have my name and I like that. When I named my daughter I named her after my Grandma. Her first name means flower and her middle name means child of god. She goes by a shortened version of her middle name.

I know quite a few people who share my name (Angela), and the interesting thing is that even though I live in the United States - where we're supposed to have a lovely diverse mix of all ethnicities - every single Angela that I've ever met is Asian. I'm not entirely sure why this is true; maybe it's just a more appealing name in the Asian languages and happens to be translated over to English as Angela? For example, the 'An' in my name, in Chinese, means 'peace', which would obviously be very common to include in your children's names. In English my name means "angel" or "messenger of God". It's pretty, I suppose, though I'm not sure it describes me very well .. haha.
