It's 11 am. It's summer. As the summer progresses my breakfast time turns into brunch...
I am about to start making breakfast/brunch.
I decided that I'm going to make myself an omelette today. I'm not sure why. Part of the reason is because I'm thinking about what I have in my fridge.
I have eggs. I have diced onions. I have green peppers. I have cheddar cheese. I even have mozzarella cheese. I think I even have some bacon.
I figure I have everything I could possibly want to make an omelette.
There are some other things that I sometimes like to put in my omelettes.
I've had a spinach and cheese omelette in the past. That was good. I didn't make it. It was at a restaurant.
I also like ham in my omelettes. I was thinking that I don't have ham, but I just remembered that I do!
I think I'm just going to stick with the easy ingredients today...Eggs...diced onions and cheddar cheese (it's already shredded).
So...what do YOU like on you're omelettes??

I don't eat any orange cheese due to the fat content. I would use mozzarella and peppers, olives, spinach, tomatoes, sweet onions, and some garlic and basil. Yum! I love to use herbs and spices. Perhaps some pepper and alittle fennel as well. It is really good in omlettes. Alittle parsley on the side and some grapefruit or orange juice is excellent with it as well.

I didn't realize that orange cheese had a high fat content if that is what you are saying. But I do know that I like the taste of cheese in my omelets. It kind of adds an extra flair to them.
Mozzarella also sounds good.
Got to say that the idea of olives or spinach doesn't seem too palatable to me however the sweet onions could add a great taste to a lot of dishes even eggs.
A little orange juice as you have mentioned sounds great too.

I put in a little green and red peppers. Some sliced up tomatoes. Some kind of cheese, probably mozzarella. Definitely putting in some bacon, just because everything becomes better with bacon in it. Also putting in some ham to add to the meat section of my omelette. I think that would be all of it, and boy would that be tasty.

Hm...I like to put whatever I find into my omelets. Usually that consists of ham, sausage, nacho cheese, green onion, onion, peppers, and shrimp.
Another thing that I like to do is to make Spanish omelets - Which pretty much consists of the same ingredients except that you add potatoes.

Well let's see, I love omelettes and I guess I would first on the grill or in a flat skillet I would grill some oneion, tomato, bell pepper, then add some ham and grill till it is ready, then add the eggs. About 3 makes a good omlette. Just before you turn it you add some shredded cheese, fold it over, and when you take it off the grill. Put some shredded cheese on top. Sounds good to me. With hash browns and toast.

I usually don't have all the ingredients for a really good omelette, so when I'm home, I usually put cheese and a variety of spices on it. I really like chili pepper and cilantro on mine. When I happen to have bacon bits or black olives in the house, I will add those, too.

Living here in the Gulf Islands...I eat a ton of fresh crab, so I love crab, brie and spinach (from my garden) in my omelette! But yes, as you it is brunch...as I go to work at 4:00 a.m. now, I am home by 8:15, so it is brunch for lunch! Have a great one!

Sounds great. I would like asperagras, mushrooms, colby cheese, and a few green onions. Some fresh fruit on the side and a nice cup of Hazelnut coffee with sweetnLow please. Let's have it on the porch with some quiet easy jazz.

yummie......omelette my all time favorite i can go to any extent for an omelette i have even fought with my family one day when just to tease me they had eaten my omelette....if you ask me about my choice of omelette then i can have omelette with anything......i generally prefer stuffed omelette or breakfast.....i stuffing generally coins ts of onions, tomatoes, chopped chillies, cilantro leaves, some grated mozzarella and chicken salami cut into strips.....i beat my eggs i generally take 2 eggs.....put it in the pan and just stir it in the center with a fork...once the omelette starts to fry i put my stuffing on one side of the omellete and fold it into half and allow it puff up properly......this way the omelette remains soft from inside and when you cut it the cheese just comes out.....i must say guys it tastes awesome.......
if i am omellete for lunch or dinner then have a very simple version.....i bet thye eggs very vigorously.....then i heat a Chinese wok with oil...pour the beaten egg and just toss it and seasoning is very important.......this is very simple with a burnt flavour.....
