I don't like to wear shoes at home, first is because the shoes make the floor dirty especially when it rains outside, shoes bring all the foot print into the house, makes it even worse and gross. Second, I think it is comfortable to wear soft slipper at home. My hubby likes to wear his work boots or the leather shoes all the time, makes me need to clean the floor often because I don't like to see the floor is nasty and gross and I feel it is more like home home that we take off the shoes when we come home. What do you think?

Uggh! I cant wear shoes at home….they make the floor so dirty and dusty and I get a weird feeling if sometimes ever I see my son stomping inside with his school boots on! I can never walk in with my outside shoes on…I have to leave them at the door. Inside, though like you I always walk with slippers on. I cant walk barefoot.

I do not wear shoes at home. I will prefer to clean the floor at home, and walk in naked foot at home.
May be this is the habit since young.
But you are correct too. It's comfort to wear soft slipper, so that won't feel the cool of the tiles.
Anyway it's better to clean the floor in the house, that will make whole house feel comfort.
Your hubby wear the boots made the floor dirty, you have to ask him to clean it. Then he will know. :D

Of course nobody likes to wear shoes all the time. At home i wear slippers, and I can't walk without them. You can always find a comfortable pair of slippers to wear around the house and even you can keep a different one for your room as I don't get your house dirty everytime you go out.

The only shoes I wear at home are my flip flops or slip on shoes, thats during the summer, during the winter I have to wear heavier shoes because my feet get really cold, or I'll wear some good thick house shoes. My husband walks around here in his socks all the time..haha. I agree tho, it does help to keep your floors clean, and I sure hate people tracking mud in my house, most of the time my husband will take his shoes off at the door, he's considerate like that.

I totally agree with you. I dont even like to see shoes being used in the house. Im usually barefooted in the house. I do sometimes use slippers or flipflops. They have saved my poor toes from getting stubbed on stuff.

I agree about the state of floors when you wear outdoor shoes inside especially in bad weather. We have special indoor foot wear and we have a shoe rack by the front door which makes it easier for us to change shoes. Having said that I do not expect guests to remove their shoes unlike my mother who expects everyone to leave footwear outside the door!

I can't stand wearing outdoor shoes inside either. Like you, I too feel that it is quite a dirty thing to do. People spit outside on the floor, throw their rubbish and do a lot worse, which during the day we all step on with our shoes. To bring that into the home is just not nice at all. Even when we get visitors to the home I ask them to remove their shoes before coming in - we have a space we keep near the front door for removing shoes.

I am not wearing shoes at my home.
I am wearing a soft slipper that too only while going to wash room.
I have habit of walking freely at home and so no one is wearing anything at home.
It is really fine to walk at home without any footwear.
But whenever someone is going out then everyone has there choice to where whatever they want according to their costume.

not really. As soon as I get home I take off my shoes. If I'm going out again I leave them at the door if not they go in my cloest. When I get dressed and pick out my shoes I put them at the front door and put them on as I am walking out the door. I wear mostly flip flops so its really easy to just slip them on. My kids are the sameway. I get the most traffic in my house over the weekend.

I don't wear shoes inside, but I do wear a pair of slippers. My boyfriend uses my flip flops to walk a round the apartment and sometimes he walks in with shoes also which makes me a little mad.
In Estonia my home country wearing shoes inside someone's home is considered to be rude, so I don't do it even if other people in here (I live in Denmark) do it. I have been told that I'm being silly because I take my shoes off every time but that's the way I was raised.

i dont normally wear shoes when i am at home but these days, i do put on shoes because the winter is really hard and biting real hard, when the winter subsides a little i put off my shoes and put on my socks, those ones can still protect my feet from getting cold for some time.
