I spend above 4hours per day but I didn't have such headache. I felt only sometimes not due to hours of times in spending before computer but when I am feeling very tensed at the day. When we think something not related to your work in computer, you will have some headache feeling. This is because of diverse thinking of brain. Either you have to concentrate on computer or else in your matter of concern.
There may be yet another reason for your headache, that is your eye may be affected. Sometimes, eye-defects can cause headache infront of computer. So, for this problem, you should wear eye-glass .
One more reason is your monitor may have "High Resolution" . Reduce the resolution of the monitor. This will help much. Or else put an transparent glass on monitor.

I haven't yet had that problem. I did have that problem with reading too much when I was about 13 years old. I had to wear reading glasses for awhile because I overworked the muscles that I used to focus on the words. But, I only wore glasses for 3 years and then I didn't need them anymore. It's not too much of an inconvenience really. Keep your glasses with you at all times if you need them. You would probably need a prescription.

I am really addicted to computer. Most often on weekends I am tied to my laptop reading articles on my digital library and watching movies that I have downloaded from the internet. The only thing that bothers me is backpain. Even visiting to a friend I always bring my laptop with me. I just can't imagine my life without it.

When I was still working I had to spend 8 hours a day infront of the computer and now that I am retired I spend at least 5 or 6 hours a day at the computer and it never gives me a headache. Perhaps you should get your eyes tested.

Yeah I get really tired eyes and they burna nd sting and I do get a horrible headache.
At the moment I am addicted to Farm Town on Facebook so my eyes are a bit sore now actually!
It really can't be good for us but I make sure I don't get on the computer too often. Although at the moment because I'm unemployed I am spending a lot of my time on the net.
I rememebr once I had an assignment to do and it involved finding information in online journals. It was really really hard and I didn't understand it so I spend literally the whole day on the computer and my eyes were stinging really bad. I eventually had to wear sunglasses to try to dull the brightness reflecting off the screen! It was ridiculous.

First, take a look at your seating. Then, look at how you sit. Do you sit straight up? Leaning? Head slightly tilted? Or, leaning forward?
You may need to rethink how you are sitting. I was getting headaches also, and then discovered that i was holding my head at a tilt, thus putting excess pressure on my neck. I thought it was simply headaches. When i fixed how i was sitting, and stopped doing my head the way that i was, then i stopped having the headaches.

Yes and I believe this is because of radiation contain of computer. Our eyes are stress by too much light on the computer screen, I also use my eyeglasses when I am using computer. It is advice that we have to rest our eyes every 20 minutes and it is advisable to look farther so that our eyes can rest.

In the starting i had headaches. But after i didn't have any problems. I am comfort. You better use computer continuously not more than a half an hour. Give lapse in between. This would help you. Otherwise get your eyes checked thouroughly.

I never get headaches spending long hours on the computer.I get headaches only if i go out in the hot sun or if my body is not having enough water supply. The best way to not get a headache is to drink two glasses of water every hour.It will keep your body hydrated and you will not get headache. If it is a mild headache then go to sleep and later sit in front of the computer.

I don't get headaches from it as a general rule and I spend about 16-18 hours a day behind the computer due to the work I do. But I know when I do get a headache once in a while it is due to eye strain and if I do find a headache coming on then I get up for a few minutes, walk away to do other things around the house etc. When I come back I usually notice that the beginning of the headache has passed and I am able to go back to doing whatever it was that I was doing on the computer when I walked away.

I spend a LOT of time at my computer and so I have made sure I am comfortable where I have my computer set up, as I used to have the same problem you describe. Try sitting further from the screen or even consider changing to a smaller monitor. Try taking breaks every hour or so and go do something different for maybe 15 minutes.

i guess you're right. i spend longer hours in my PC and don't have gaps in between hours. i wouldn't even stretch for a while. i just stand when it's time to log off and shut down. thank you for a great suggestion.

I think you should get your eyes checked immediately...of all the sense organs, I consider the eyes to be the most precious, so dont neglect them.
I spend around 8hrs in front of the PC daily but I dont get headaches as such. My eyes do become dry and tired and I wear contact lenses so I have artificial tears to apply so my eyes stay lubricated. At home whenever I am working on the PC, I wear my eyeglasses though, as you say, they are quite inconvenient, esp in this heat.

I usually spent 6 to 8 hours everyday in front of the computer.
I do suffer headaches from time to time but not always. You must
rest your eyes every 30 minutes by closing your eyes for few seconds
or look in other areas other than the computer.

yes i do, if it takes about 3-4 hours straight facing the computer and doing something which is engage in thinking, well it's a lot of headache, but if it's just for fun, surfing the net, chatting and doing everything without analyzing and thinking, well it's just okay.

Sometimes i suffer from a head ache when sat at the computer, but i find this happens now at night more than in the day.I think the reason for the head aches at night on the computer is that it is not natural day light, there for it puts a strain on your eyes more.
