Women usually do the cooking in the home but there are some men who cook and can cook very well. I do most of the cooking in my home. Who cooks in your home?

I do most of the cooking in my home, because I work from home. I enjoy cooking. If I have a lot of work, my husband will come home and do the cooking. My two older daughters are learning to cook, so they help sometimes, too.

Well girl...I love fish and cook it very often. I used to cook a lot of pork and beef as well but not anymore. So mostly fish and chicken. I love pasta and whole grain rice. I am limited to what foods I can prepare in my home because you have this person not eating this and that so most of the time I try to cook what I know everyone will eat. Nonetheless, there are times when I will just cook what I want to eat. Have not baked a cake in a while but after seeing your post think I will bake on this weekend! Cheers!

See.. you have everyone pitching in from time to time which is really good..it means that you don't have to do it all the time. What do you like cooking the most? I love my baked chicken, macaroni pie, patato salad and fried rice! Yes.. it is very Caribbean in style and a lot of people in the Caribbean cook it on Sundays especially in Trinidad where I live.

We eat a lot of chicken in our home with whole grain rice or pasta, sometimes red potatoes or sweet potatoes. My husband and I eat fish at least once a week, but our children don't like it, so they usually have some pasta w/ cheese sauce or something simple like that so that we don't have to cook two complete meals. We eat red meat about 2-3 times a month, usually in spaghetti, or maybe steak. We have pork chops occasionally as well. On Sundays, we usually do a meal in the crock pot, because we are at church in the a.m. and then in the evening for Bible study. If we do a soup or stew in the crock pot, we usually make a double batch. We just throw all the ingredients in on Sunday a.m. and it slowly cooks it for our lunch. Then after lunch we put the bowl of the crock pot in the fridge and take it back out just before we leave for Bible study and it warms back up and is ready for us for dinner when we return. What I really love to cook is baked goods, which are so BAD for you, cookies, cakes, pies. We have them on occasion, and I try to find healthy recipes for these.

I do most of the cooking in my house. My son is 12 now and just starting to learn to cook some of the simpler dishes. The other night when I was knocked down with a migraine my son took it upon himself to make hot dogs and kraft dinner for him and his sister. She said it was the best KD she'd ever tasted. He's bugging and bugging me to teach him more recipes and how to cook actual meals so hopefully soon he'll be doing dinners on a regular basis and I'll get a bit of a break. :)

He's talking about it. My sister-in-law just complete her 1st year of the cooking course. She really enjoyed it and my son is definatly interested in what he's heard from her. He's already told me that he can't wait until highschool to take the cooking course offered there. The teacher of that course is a member of the baptist church where the kids go to Sunday School. He's even told her that he'll be taking her class.

My son does all the cooking (except breakfast) and sometimes if he is not at home then the carer for his twins. She does all the cooking for the twins but I really do not like what she cooks. On Sundays, I may cook or my son. I like cooking but lack of time is my problem. My daughter will be home soon and when she is at home they share the cooking

Time is definitely a factor when it comes to cooking. Sometimes you really want to buckle down and do something special but time does not permit you. It's nice when the family understands and supports you and it's nice when you get chance to really dish up something special for family.

I do all the cooking in my house except for when we have BBQ which my husband does. But even though he's outside at the grill, I am still inside making all the vegetables and side dishes to go along with what he is cooking. And then of course I have to do all the clean up afterwards, so sometimes it's not really that much of a break for him to do the cooking after all.

See.. there is something about men and wanting to B/Cue.. my boyfriend is the same way.. he loves to B/Cue.. The side dishes I would do as well. I don't mind cleaning up while doing the side dishes.. There are a lot of men who are very good cooks.

I think it really depends on who is better at it. However I do think if one person does most of the cooking the other person should be willing to pay for a nice meal out at a restaurant.
