I was at the mall yesterday with my kids and sister in law. We were just doing some leisurely window shopping. That is when we came across it. The Proactiv Vending machine. That's right! You swipe your credit card, pick your package and out it comes like a soda or candy bar. Prices started at about $20 I think. Would you purchase skin care from a vending machine? I just laughed.

It sounds crazy, but this eliminate people's jobs, it scares me to be honest. More and more we will see vending machines for everything to eliminate an employment and make huge money for companies...

That is true it does take alot of jobs away by having it easy and accessible to customers through a vending machine. Maybe that is their way of downsizing and cutting cost? Stranger things have happened since the economy has took a nose dive.

I don't buy much from Vending machines. I don't buy many skin care products. So the probability of buying something from a vending machine time the probability of buying a skin care product would result in a very low number. :)

Wow. That is neat. I have never seen anything like that before but I do not get out much either. I don't think I would buy from the machine though. It sounds kind of high, but I am not sure how big the package is either.

Haha Iv never seen that sort of thing before, at least I dont think I have yet interesting, but I'm not so sure that I would want to buy skin care products from a vending machine becuse you just dont know how long the items have been in there, products such as food and even certain ingredient's used in skin care products get old and out of date, and I'm very careful about what I put on my skin, at least when we buy products in the open isle we can check the dates and ingredient's before we buy them, and its not so easy to tell how old somethings is through a vending machine window, LOL.

Those Proactiv vending machines in malls have been around for a while now in Florida and kiosks with a sales person that do sell Proactiv is still around too. I would prefer buying from a real person rather than a vendo though -- that's for sure. But it is kind of cool seeing them.

I have seen those at 2 different malls now, but both in the last week. I don't know how long they have been there. I guess the Proactiv vending machine was more cost effective than having a Proactiv Kiosk where they have to pay an employee an hourly wage.

I've heard of vending machines in Asia with things other than what we are accustomed to in the USA. Kinda crazy and nice all at the same time. I don't know if I'd purchase from a machine or not as it's a crapshoot finding something that will work for you anyways, though how do you return it if you are not happy with the item?

Recently, I saw this too. I was shocked. But when I was at the airport in Sweden they had Ipod's in a vending machine. So I guess we are just slow with the "technology". Another cool thing I saw was fruit in a vending machine, not in American of course!
